Ms. Styles is a distinguished professional in the sphere of community development, grant writing, and individual empowerment. She formerly served as the Executive Director of the Greenville Renaissance Scholars, a position she has held since 2023. In this role, Ms. Styles was responsible for grant writing, fundraising, meeting with donors, and implementing programs to increase community outreach, and her dedication to these efforts has significantly impacted the local community. She currently runs her own business, Jasmine Style Consulting Firm, full-time. In this role, she works with schools, businesses and nonprofits in formation, grant seeking and application, business management, training, and professional development.
For over five years, Ms. Styles' career has been marked by various leadership roles focused on improving the community. Since 2020, she has held the title of Chief Executive Officer of Jasmine Styles Consulting Firm. Along with founding and leading her own nonprofit organization, TCOTLG Community Outreach & Services, she has concurrently led Jazz Styles Company & J Styles Fitness as its Chief Executive Officer since 2019. Her previous roles include serving as an Academic Counselor at Delta Educational Opportunity Center from 2021 to 2023 and holding the title of Interim Director at J.L. King Community Center in 2021. Additionally, Ms. Styles worked as a Strategic Advisor Consultant at the William Winter Institute for Racial Reconciliation in 2021 and held internships at both J.L. King Community Center and Stennis Center for Public Service during the same year. In 2023, she received a $50,000 grant for TCOTLG's Pretrial Diversion Program aimed at eliminating jail terms for youth aged 12 to 17 while increasing their educational opportunities.
Coupled with her professional experience, Ms. Styles earned a Master of Public Policy and Administration from Mississippi State University in 2021. That same year, she was inducted as an honor student into Pi Alpha Alpha Honorary Society Prior to pursuing her master's degree, Ms. Styles completed a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 2019 and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2018, both from Mississippi State University, during which time she worked as the general manager of Bulldog Calling Center, where she was a student caller and previously worked as a suit attendant at Bulldog Suits from 2015 to 2021.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Styles additionally gained diverse experience as a shadowing attorney at Barton Law Firm in 2017, as a Senior Sales Representative at Vector Marketing in 2014, and as a Biological Science Technician Aid for the United States Department of Agriculture, where she worked in the Agricultural Research Services from 2012 to 2021. Overall, Ms. Styles' academic and professional journey has been instrumental in her professional success and has equipped her with the knowledge and skills necessary for her various roles.
In addition to her degrees and experience, Ms. Styles recently completed certifications in Financial Literacy, Childcare Regulations, Playground Safety, Excellence in Action through the MS Alliance of Nonprofits. She also holds several certifications that have further enhanced her expertise. In 2023, she received a certification in adult mental health first aid from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. The year prior, she became a notary public commission from the Mississippi Secretary of State's Office. Moreover, she is a Certified Nutrition Specialist and CPR Certified. She is also a kickboxing instructor via the International Sports Sciences Association, a certified personal fitness trainer and health fitness instructor, and holds multiple certifications from NonprofitReady.org in financial management, fundraising, grant seeking and proposals, marketing essentials, nonprofit board development, and nonprofit organizations.
In all she has pursued and accomplished, Ms. Styles attributes her success to her strong faith; her supportive family, which includes both her parents and grandparents who have been significant sources of inspiration throughout her life; and her determination to make a positive impact on the world. To date, she cites her most remarkable achievement as establishing her own nonprofit, TCOTLG Community Outreach & Services, which has successfully provided meals for over 1,500 individuals, recruited more than 130 dedicated volunteers, and helped over 50 students further their education. Along with her own nonprofit work, she is involved with various civic associations and philanthropic endeavors.
Since 2020, Ms. Styles has been the Secretary of the Executive Board for her church, The Church of the Living God, The Pillar & Ground of the Truth. Additionally, she is a board member of Kiwanis of Greenville. Looking forward, Ms. Styles is dedicated to expanding her own business by establishing multiple franchises within the Mississippi Delta over the next several years. Ultimately, her goal is to create more job opportunities and attract visitors to the area while scaling up her nonprofit organization to reach and serve a larger number of individuals.
