Outside of her work in consulting, Ms. Alcorn managed clinical operations across 125 facilities in over 20 states at Frontier Management LLC, where she began in 2017 as the vice president of clinical services and advanced through various roles of increasing responsibility, including chief nursing officer and chief clinical and operations officer. Her leadership at Frontier Management culminated in the company being ranked third in the country for resident satisfaction by JD Power and Associates Senior Housing—a testament to her commitment to quality care.
Previously, Ms. Alcorn found success as the vice president of clinical and regulatory monitoring at Formation Healthcare Group from 2015 to 2017 after serving as their clinical and regulatory monitoring manager from 2012 to 2015. Her foundational experiences include her roles as the director of nursing at National HealthCare Company from 1998 to 2012 and earlier positions at Country Club Care Center and Attica Long-Term Care Center.
Ms. Alcorn currently serves as a mentor for the Argentum Women in Leadership Mentor Program. An active member of several industry-related organizations including the American Health Care Association, Argentum, the Oregon Health Care Association, the Texas Assisted Living Association, and the California Assisted Living Association, she has cultivated a robust professional network that has contributed significantly to her career growth. She was named among the Top 10 Inspiring Women Leaders by Industry Era Women Leaders in 2022.
Building upon a strong educational foundation, Ms. Alcorn obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Fort Hays State University in 1993, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing, with an emphasis in nurse executive leadership, from Benedictine University in 2017. Eminently qualified in her field, she was licensed as a registered nurse via the Oregon State Board of Nursing in 2017 and the Tennessee Board of Nursing in 1998.
Ms. Alcorn attributes her success to her guiding principle: "Just remember your why." This philosophy has been central to her resilience and ability to network effectively within her professional community. Her early start as a certified nursing assistant at age fifteen laid the groundwork for a career dedicated primarily to long-term post-acute care.
Outside of her vocational efforts, Ms. Alcorn finds joy in such outdoor activities as riding ATVs and cherishing moments with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
