MENLO PARK, CA, July 12, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Donald Peppers with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Donald Peppers celebrates many years' experience in his professional network and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Well-regarded as one of the foremost experts in the field of customer relationship management (CRM), Mr. Peppers has distinguished himself as an author, consultant, public speaker, and advisor throughout the course of his career. Best known as a co-author of "The One to One Future: Building Relationships One Customer at a Time" alongside longtime business partner Prof. Martha Rogers, his contributions to the wider customer experience (CX) industry have long been considered ground-breaking and indispensable. Predicting the advent of one-to-one marketing before the rise of the Internet and eventually selling one million copies in 18 different languages, "The One to One Future" was widely hailed as a pioneering achievement by contemporary analysts, and continues to prove influential to this day.

Following the publishing of "The One to One Future" in 1993, Mr. Peppers and Prof. Rogers released a sequel in 1997; "Enterprise One to One: Tools for Competing in the Interactive Age." Over the next two decades, the pair would go on to collaborate on several other books involving different facets of the CRM field, including "Managing Customer Experience and Relationships: A Strategic Framework" and the first graduate-level textbook on the subject, "Extreme Trust: Honesty as a Competitive Advantage," to name only a few. Mr. Peppers authored "Customer Experience: What, How and Why Now," a collection of succinct and to-the-point essays on managing the individual customer experience. Highly acclaimed for his expertise, Mr. Peppers has been called upon to deliver keynote presentations and speak at various workshops throughout the world for over 30 years.

In light of his professional achievements, Mr. Peppers has been honored with numerous accolades. In addition to being named to the Top 100 Business Intellectuals by Accenture and one of the 19 Business Gurus of the 20th Century by Fast Company Magazine, he was honored in the 40 Under 40 by Crain's New York Business. Likewise, The Times of London hailed him as a "Top 50 Business Brain," and he was inducted alongside Ms. Rogers into the Data and Marketing Association's Hall of Fame in 2013. Likewise, he was ranked by SatMetrix as one of the most authoritative experts in the CX industry.

In 1994, Mr. Peppers served as a co-founder of the Peppers & Rogers Group (PRG) alongside Ms. Rogers – a consulting firm that went on to employ more than 250 business management experts and open several regional affiliates throughout the world. Serving a number of global clients, including FedEx, Ford, Hewlett-Packard, Inland Revenue, Dentsu and National Australia Bank, PRG enjoyed more than 15 years of success before its acquisition by TTEC in 2010. Outside of PRG, he has also sat on the board of directors for the publicly held companies DoubleClick, Modem Media Poppe Tyson, and Cicero, all of which were highly active in the internet marketing and technology space. In more recent years, Mr. Peppers has served as a board advisor for several companies that either remain private or have successfully executed initial public offerings, such as Alterna CX, Lucid Green, Uservision, SuiteCX and Payactiv.

Graduating first in his class from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1972, where he studied astronautical engineering and international affairs, he went on to earn a master's degree in public affairs from Princeton University. Over the subsequent decades, he would serve in various positions of high leadership at Texas International Airlines, Saatchi & Saatchi Compton Worldwide, Levine Huntley Schmidt & Beaver, Lintas USA, and Chiat/Day-Perkins/Butler, after which he and Ms. Rogers published their first book and launched their career as CX gurus.

Though largely retired now, Mr. Peppers has continued his commitment to the CX field. In addition to his work as a startup coach at Steve Blank's "entrepreneurial ranch" program at Stanford University, he continues to serve as an adjunct professor of marketing at Menlo College. Likewise active in publishing, he and Prof.. Rogers also released the greatly updated and revised fourth edition of "Managing Customer Experience & Relationships" in 2022.
