    LOUISVILLE, KY, July 15, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Timothy J. Beacham, MD, FASA, has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Dr. Beacham is a distinguished expert in chronic pain management and the chief executive officer and founder of the Restorative Pain Institute. Notably, he is one of only four African American men specializing in interventional pain medicine in Kentucky—a testament to his pioneering spirit and dedication to diversity within his field. With 15 years of experience in his profession, he has dedicated his career to helping individuals recover and regain function and enjoyment despite experiencing pain. Dr. Beacham's expertise encompasses spine pain, neck pain, thoracic pain, and low back pain, as well as severe arthritis cases, including those involving hip and knee replacements.

Leading up to his current practice, Dr. Beacham's professional journey began with his role as an advanced tutor for multicultural student affairs at The University of Mississippi Medical Center from 1999 to 2005. During that time, he concurrently served as an instructor in physics and learning skills for the medical cooperation program within the same department between 1999 and 2002. Following these roles, Dr. Beacham became a staff physician at Choices for Children and Family, where he worked from 2007 to 2009.

Soon after, Dr. Beacham transitioned into academia and taught as an assistant professor of anesthesiology at The University of Mississippi Medical Center from 2009 to 2011. From 2011 to 2014, he worked as a staff anesthesiologist at Premier Anesthesia, where he specialized in interventional pain medicine. He subsequently joined Comprehensive Pain Specialists as an interventional pain medicine physician and anesthesiologist from 2014 to 2018. Dr. Beacham's leadership capabilities were further recognized when he became the medical director of the Louisville site for Capitol Pain Institute from 2018 to 2020.

Before founding the Restorative Pain Institute in 2023, Dr. Beacham was a physician partner at Vitality Pain from 2020 to 2023. Coupled with his extensive medical experience, he earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Tougaloo College in 1996 before pursuing and earning a medical degree at The University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2005. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at the same institution in 2009, followed by a fellowship in interdisciplinary pain medicine in 2010.

Dr. Beacham is board-certified in both interventional pain management and anesthesiology. Throughout his educational journey, he was awarded numerous honors and scholarships, and as he advanced throughout his career in medicine, his success continued and he received numerous accolades, including the Health Care Hero Award from Louisville Business First in 2024 and the President Award from the Mississippi Medical and Surgical Association in 2013. His other honors include being named among Who's Who in Physician and Executives of America in 2012 and receiving recognition as the Top 40 Under 40 from the Mississippi Business Journal in 2011, among other accolades.

Dr. Beacham is an active member of numerous industry- and academic-related organizations, such as the Kentucky Society of Anesthesiologists, the Fall City Medical Society, the Kentucky Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the National Medical Association, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., among countless others. In addition to his clinical work, he has contributed to professional journals through various articles and publications and remains dedicated to research and education to advance the field of pain management.

Outside his professional life, Dr. Beacham enjoys spending time with his family and is a proud father of three children. Looking ahead, he aims to expand his footprint by mentoring the next generation to achieve success in their careers while providing excellent health care for patients.
