Ms. Drummond understands that one cannot pour from an empty cup and often our educators, school social workers, administrators and caregivers are overwhelmed and stressed from navigating systems that do not center their humanity. In one of her most recent projects, Ms. Drummond partnered with an organization to co-develop an adult learning series that focused on the social and emotional wellbeing and competency strengthening for adults within school districts across the country.
Before establishing her consultancy, Ms. Drummond worked as a program manager and later as the Director of a social and emotional learning program which included a differentiated curriculum for children in elementary schools. During her tenure there, she supported teachers by implementing tailored coaching and professional development programs. She also spearheaded the organizational shift to include equity as a fundamental aspect of children's social and emotional well-being. During the early stages of her career, Ms. Drummond gained valuable experience and expertise working within public and private school settings, providing education for men and women who were incarcerated, providing training and support to men and women via the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and as a charter school founder.
Throughout her career, Ms. Drummond has leveraged her expertise as a guest panelist, lecturer, and keynote speaker for various organizations. She has also authored several articles in esteemed educational publications such as EdSurge, The Hechinger Report and the Women Change Worlds blog.
Ms. Drummond, an expert in her field, has a Bachelor's degree (BA) in psychology from Brandeis University and a Master's degree (MA) and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) in vocational rehabilitation counseling from Assumption University.
In 2023, Ms. Drummond was recognized as one of the Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Leaders of the Year, receiving the Mary Utne O'Brien Award from the Collaborative for Academic Social and Emotional Learning (CASEL) in light of her professional achievements.
