Mr. Valrand is the owner of Dramtes Enterprises, a publishing company dedicated to showcasing the work of storytellers, intellectuals, and innovators. Since 2013, he has led the company in publishing fiction and non-fiction in various formats with the goal of entertaining, educating and inspiring readers. His leadership at Dramtes Enterprises marks a significant chapter in his career, which spans several decades and industries. Mr. Valrand is Director of the Internet Looks website.

Before founding Dramtes Enterprises, Mr. Valrand was an associate at World Financial Group from 2012 to 2013. In this role, he gained valuable experience in the financial industry, annuities, and insurance, complementing his extensive background in engineering.

While a student at Georgia Tech, Mr. Valrand worked as a draftman at Robert and Company, an Atlanta architecture and engineering firm. His career in engineering began at Boeing in Renton (Seattle), Washington, where he contributed to the preliminary design of the 757 and 767 aircraft. He then moved to Lockheed Martin in Marietta, Georgia, working as an aerodynamicist on the C-5A and C-130 aircraft. He was a member of the C-5A flight test team.

From 1970 to 1976 Mr. Valrand worked at TRW Systems, initially at Houston, Texas, on NASA Space Shuttle research contracts. He conducted aerodynamic analyses and developed Shuttle mission simulations and guidance algorithms. Later he worked on Army Missile Defense Agency contracts in Huntsville, Alabama. He developed PERCAM, a reconfigurable war game program supporting Project Successor/Nachfolger Patriot missile system military evaluation.

Mr. Valrand's expertise further expanded during his tenure at IBM Federal Systems Division from 1976 to 1993. He worked on flight software requirements analysis and verification for the Space Shuttle and Space Station Freedom programs. He managed a department responsible for Shuttle software performance verification. Additionally, he served as software architect for NASA's Shuttle mission reconfiguration management system. As senior engineer, he led advanced projects for the Space Station data management system. He also played a crucial role in proposal preparation for the Strategic Defense Initiative National Test Bed Simulator Air Force contract and conducted performance analysis of SDI computer and communications systems.

Following his time at IBM, Mr. Valrand joined GB Tech as a senior engineer. From 1996 to 2000 he led International Space Station Command and Control Software Requirements Specification development (NASA Boeing subcontract). He then transitioned to the United Space Alliance Space Shuttle operations contract. As Engineering Staff VI (2000-2011) he conducted Space Shuttle flight software verification and mission analyses. He also provided real-time operations support at NASA's Mission Control Center. and developed and taught technical training courses.

Mr. Valrand's academic achievements have significantly contributed to his professional success. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1965 and a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Houston Clear Lake in 1997. His education laid the foundation for his diverse career in aerospace engineering and financial management.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Valrand is actively involved in civic activities. Since 2012 he has served as a poll worker for Harris County, demonstrating his commitment to community service. He became a member of the Financial Management Association in 1996. Mr. Valrand is a past president of the Clear Lake Toastmasters Club.

As an author, Mr. Valrand published "The Site" through Dramtes Enterprises in 2021 and is in the final stages of completing another book titled "An Effect Like Magic." Writing has been a lifelong passion, starting as a hobby during college and evolving into a second career. His journey from aerospace engineering to publishing reflects his diverse talents and dedication to both his personal and professional endeavors.
