NEW BUFFALO, MI, July 16, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Linda Stone has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Stone's dual career in floristry and writing is marked by a deep sense of purpose and a commitment to following her spiritual guidance, and her achievements are a testament to her dedication and passion for making a positive impact in the lives of others. Since 1999, she has held the title of owner and operator of City Flowers & Gifts and honed her expertise in floristry and customer service through years of dedication and hard work, which earned her recognition in the New Buffalo Times and Harbor Country News newspapers. Ms. Stone's journey into the floral industry began serendipitously when she decided to call a floral school to inquire about their program and found an unexpected opening due to a cancellation. Following her instincts, she enrolled in the American Floral Art School in Chicago, where she completed coursework that laid the foundation for her career.
Prior to transitioning into the floral industry, Ms. Stone successfully owned and managed a bakery without having any previous experience in the field. With the help of her brother, they worked alongside the former owner for a short duration before they were left to navigate the business on their own—an experience that was both challenging and rewarding. Through perseverance, Ms. Stone honed her cake-decorating skills and gradually learned the ins and outs of running a business.
In all she has pursued, persevered through, and accomplished, Ms. Stone attributes her success to spiritual guidance and believes that with faith, God will always provide. This belief has been a guiding force throughout her career, allowing her to embrace each step with confidence and trust in divine intervention. In both her professional and personal life, Ms. Stone strives to embody the message of "be the change you wish to see in the world" and aims to make a difference through small acts of kindness, such as holding the door for a stranger or donating to the local food pantry.
While Ms. Stone knows she cannot help all individuals, she finds fulfillment in knowing that she can and has made a difference in another individual's life, no matter how small it may seem. She has a deep desire to support and help others, as well as homeless animals.
In addition to her community-centered teaching both cake decorating and floral design, Ms. Stone is also a published author who has written several children's books, including "Bubbles' Troubles" and soon to be released "Teddy's Spaghetti" and "Home is the Very Best Place to Be." These creative endeavors are based on the stories of Bubbles and Teddy, her own two rescue dogs. She has a strong desire to teach children about the importance of shelter pet adoption and the deep and lasting bonds that come from caring for a pet. A portion of the proceeds from her books support local animal shelters.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Ms. Stone's personal life is rich with hobbies and interests that bring her joy and fulfillment, such as gardening, walking on the beach, crocheting, crafting, reading, baking, doing jigsaw puzzles, writing poetry and learning new things, all of which allow her to express her creativity in different ways.
