Tomeria L. Jordan Celebrated for Dedication to the Fields of Education and Business

    CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA, July 17, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Tomeria Jordan has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Inspired by her grandmother, who owned a store and had a newspaper route, Mrs. Jordan was driven to pursue a business career at an early age, culminating in her work as the academic curriculum manager for the Bloomberg Center for Government Excellence at Johns Hopkins University. An acclaimed international learning and development expert with years of expertise in coaching, training, research, and analytics, Mrs. Jordan manages the learning and development function, providing leadership, coaching, and support to team members. Additionally, she collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and partners with various programs, including but not limited to the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative, What Works Cities, City Data Alliance, and more. In addition to her work at the University, Mrs. Jordan is the managing director of Confident Connotations and Confidence Centers of America. Previously, she was a training and development manager for Clements Worldwide, a product development manager with Management Concepts, Inc., and a training manager at GEICO.

During the early stages of her career, Mrs. Jordan gained valuable leadership expertise in various positions with GEICO, the Virginia State Corporation Commission, Starbucks, Felt's Drug Store, and the Ted Constant Convocation Center, which is now Chartway Arena. She has achieved much throughout her career, establishing end-to-end international training processes and programs for Clements Worldwide across all divisions. She has conducted over 1,000 in-person and remote training sessions during her career for entry-level to executive staff. Likewise, Mrs. Jordan has coached numerous trainers, leaders, and staff and was instrumental in leading projects like GEICO's Self-Service Claims training program for over 7,000 claims associates, and spearheading the development of Clements Worldwide Global Insurance Career Development Program.

An expert in her field, Mrs. Jordan earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration, international business, and economics from Old Dominion University in 2006. Subsequently, she received a Master of Arts in education and instructional technology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and various management and educational certifications through Johns Hopkins University, the Association for Training and Development, and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Driven to remain abreast of industry changes, Mrs. Jordan aligns herself with organizations like the Association for Talent Development, Phi Kappa Phi, and the Golden Key International Honor Society.

Dedicated to her community, Mrs. Jordan contributes to it through the Black Heart Association, Fortitude Collective, and Revelation Word Ministries. Previously, she lent her time and energy to organizations such as the Urban League of Hampton Roads Young Professionals, Calvary Revival Church, United Way, and GEICO. Due to her vast and varied knowledge, she has written several faith-based inspirational books and serves as the host of the "Confidence Restored" and "The Perspective View" podcasts.

Given her considerable achievements and leadership, Mrs. Jordan was a part of the team that contributed to the Bloomberg Center for Government Excellence's recent Diversity Leadership Award from the Diversity Leadership Council at Johns Hopkins University. She previously won a Global Employee of the Year Award from Clements Worldwide and the GEICO Excellence in Leadership Award, Corporate Quality Award, and a Management Seminar Logistics Award, to name a few. In 2021, she was also honored by Old Dominion University in the inaugural 40 Under 40 Alumni Recognition Program. Though hard work and dedication have brought her far in her career, she credits her success to her faith, respect for everyone's story, and positive attitude.
