Mr. Horne's career began in the semiconductor industry during the 1990s. However, after an economic downturn and personal struggles, he transitioned into a new career path by responding to an ad for a production coordinator position at L.W. Robbins Associates in 1999. He is very proud of his contributions to the latter company where he excelled in conducting thorough needs analyses and introducing innovative solutions, such as an automated personalized note padding line.
Mr. Horne's career further expanded when he joined MCS Direct as manager of production and procurement from 2008 to 2009. He then returned to Brickmill Marketing Services as director of production for several years, managing all aspects of creative, estimating, purchasing, and production of direct mail fundraising for the Veterans of Foreign Wars both domestically and in China; he traveled to the Hong Kong office to conduct training and observe premium production.
He later found a calling to move back to Vermont where he became master scheduler at Cabot Creamery Cooperative from 2013 to 2015. Here, he took great pleasure in assisting farmers and forging strong partnerships with vendors and partners. He improved productivity of the production lines and level loaded the plant driving the bottom line for the farmer owners.
In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Horne is also recognized for his academic accomplishments. He earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Southern New Hampshire University in 2004, graduating summa cum laude. Prior to that, he obtained an associate degree in business administration from Bryant University in 1999.
Mr. Horne's accomplishments extend beyond his professional life into civic involvement. He has served on the local school board committee, coached children's baseball teams, participated in community clean-up efforts and supported organizations like the March of Dimes. Looking ahead, Mr. Horne aspires to join a board and contribute his expertise to a company or nonprofit organization while expanding his involvement in the fundraising and consulting industry. He remains focused on advancing his career as an analyst, where he can make a meaningful impact without acquiring a team.
