Mr. Spearman's career began with roles that laid a strong foundation for his current success. He served as a paralegal at Fox, Shjeflo, Wohl & Hartley, LLP from 1999 to 2005. Mr. Spearman credits his time at the law firm with forming the professionalism and pedigree that continue to serve him today. Mr. Spearman reached the pinnacle of his career in toxic tort/asbestos litigation as a Paralegal and Medical Coordinator at Hawkins, Parnell, Thackston & Young LLP in Atlanta, Georgia, from 2010 to 2012. Mr. Spearman acknowledges Al Parnell, a founding member of the firm, with inspiring him to pursue his career in construction and explore opportunities beyond the legal field.
In 2012, Mr. Spearman was hired as a Logistics Coordinator at the nation's premier wholesale retail and event décor company, Accent Decor Inc., where he worked until 2015. He then advanced to become a Primavera P6 Project Scheduler at Enercon Services in Kennesaw, Georgia, from 2015 to 2016, and went on to take a role as a Project Scheduling Consultant at Motive Power Inc. in San Francisco, CA from 2016 to 2018. During his tenure with Motive Power, Inc. Mr. Spearman quickly became the Lead Project Scheduler for the Northern California region within PG&E's High Voltage Substation division. He credits his time with Sr. Project Managers Andre Williams and Fernando Aguilar for providing an elite experience in construction management, along with the Founder of Motive Power, Inc., Angel Lance, for her mentorship.
Mr. Spearman's expertise further expanded when he joined the City of Atlanta as a Project Controls Engineer from 2018 to 2019. After serving the City of Atlanta, he went on to serve as a Project Controls Analyst at Quanta Telecommunication Services in 2019 before taking on another Lead Project Scheduler position with Brad Cole Construction Company in Norcross, Georgia. Mr. Spearman has been with Gude Management Group from 2019 to the present, while simultaneously performing work nationally on several different projects.
Mr. Spearman's academic background includes an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts from the College of San Mateo, which he earned in 2003. He has also obtained several certifications that have bolstered his professional capabilities, including Oracle Primavera P6 certifications via Evans Technology and PG&E Academy, Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) certification with Project Controls Institute (PCI), and a Black Belt Six Sigma certification.
In addition to his education, Mr. Spearman has further bolstered his expertise through membership with the Georgia Association of Water Professionals and the Georgia State Alumni. He is dedicated to his local community, as much of the work he oversees at Gude Management Group LLC revolves around supporting transportation, hospitals, civic infrastructure and other community-focused projects.
In 2009, while searching for employment after relocating from California to Georgia, Mr. Spearman was featured on the cover of Time Magazine for an article entitled "Out of Work in America". He was interviewed during this period of high unemployment in the United States as he demonstrated great resilience and dedication, traits that have since yielded professional success. In addition to these traits, he acknowledges that maintaining high-quality work and a strong client base through word-of-mouth referrals has greatly contributed to his continued professional ascent. Outside his professional life, Mr. Spearman enjoys spending quality time with his family. He is a father to 3 children, Brandon, Jr., Bryson, and Brielle whom he shares with his partner, Charrell Farmer. He is also actively involved in his community as a coach and mentor for local sports leagues and a volunteer mentor for children's literacy program(s).
