BAKERSFIELD, CA, July 17, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to honor Nanette Yabiku with inclusion in Who's Who in the World. An accomplished listee, Nanette Yabiku celebrates many years of experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Drawing on decades of expertise in the field of education along with her personal growth journey, Ms. Yabiku excels as the owner and chief executive officer of the eponymous Nanette Yabiku Coaching, LLC. Through her coaching business, she provides life and executive coaching, workshops in Maxwell DISC, which assess personality styles to help people communicate more effectively, masterminds studying many of John Maxwell's books, and leadership training. As a coach, speaker, and trainer, she also trains teachers to develop greater influence in their classrooms.

Ms. Yabiku recently retired from Bakersfield City School District where she served as an academic coach/interim vice principal at Dr. Juliet Thorner Elementary School. In her roles on campus, she coached teachers, trained staff in all areas of their teaching practice, collaborated with parents and teachers to meet the needs of their students, and facilitated the special education program. Throughout her career, Ms. Yabiku discovered the importance of leadership in the classroom where not only do teachers develop their own leadership skills, but they train student leaders in their room. She found that as teachers become stronger leaders, their influence over their students increases. This, in turn, creates a stronger culture where students thrive and are able to develop their strengths and interests.

During the early stages of her career, Ms. Yabiku gained valuable expertise as a teacher with Bakersfield City School District. An expert in her field, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Sonoma State University in 1984. Subsequently, she became a certified member of Maxwell Leadership and completed certifications in coaching, speaking, and DISC. She also received a cognitive coaching certification through Cognitive Coaching Serminars, a master's degree in educational leadership with an Administrative Services Credential Certificate of Eligibility from Point Loma Nazarene University, and other certifications in education and coaching. Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Ms. Yabiku aligns herself with the Association of California School Administrators.

Given her professional achievements, Ms. Yabiku has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Forbes Magazine, and was honored with a Volunteer Award from the American Heart Association. Similarly, she received an Education Award and an Accountability Award from the Bakersfield City School District. She will also be featured in the 2024 edition of Who's Who in America, and she was named among Marquis Who Who's list of Professional Women. Since its debut in 1959, Who's Who of Professional Women has worked to honor exceptional female professionals. The selection process is a comprehensive and detailed attempt to produce a list of women who have demonstrated notable accomplishments in their fields.

While her career has been filled with highlights, she takes the most pride in being an active part in the development of student-centered programs on her campus such as the reformation of special education where the majority of Sped students have the opportunity to have their needs met through full inclusion in their general education classroom. Though hard work and dedication have brought her far in her career, she credits her success to continuous learning and professional growth. Ms. Yabiku retired in June 2023 and is focusing on her role in adding value to her community through her consulting and coaching business.
