Drawing on his own passion for literature, Dr. Wachtel has inspired students through various courses, including "Shakespeare: Comedies, Histories, Narrative Poetry," "World in a Nutshell: The Short Story," "Fictions of James Joyce," and "Vision Beyond Thought: Analogical Forms of Sophocles."
Previously, Dr. Wachtel honed his educational expertise as an assistant professor at the University of California, Santa Barbara. During the early stages of his career, he gained valuable expertise in the field with the State University of New York at Buffalo. Over the years, she has also contributed to several publications, including "The Cracked Looking Glass: James Joyce and the Nightmare of History," which was the highlight of his career, "Obama Abandoned Iranians when They Fought for Freedom – Trump Must Not Do the Same," and "Russia, Iran and Turkey are Building a New Middle East." Similarly, Dr. Wachtel co-authored "We Won't Achieve Peace with North Korea Without China's Help" with Jonathan Wachtel and has authored numerous articles for the Times of Israel regarding establishing a Palestinian state after the war in Gaza.
An expert in his field, Dr. Wachtel holds a Bachelor of Arts from the City University of New York and a PhD from the State University of New York at Buffalo. In recognition of his professional achievements, he received fellowships through the National Defense Education Act and the Creative Arts Institute. Additionally, he won several endowments and was named a Scholar-in-Residence at Pitzer College.
