She currently serves as a branch chief at the Social Security Administration's Office of Quality Review in the Disability Quality Branch, a position she has held since 2022. In this role, she oversees a team of ten disability examiners and two program leaders, who, at the federal level, support the state determination services throughout the country by conducting quality reviews of their disability determinations, ensuring compliance and consistency in applying federal policies, regulations, and procedures.

Before her current position, Dr. Desrosiers was an acting deputy division director at the Social Security Administration's Office of Public Service and Operations Support in 2022 after being promoted from a program quality analyst position at the same agency. Prior to these roles, she worked with the Social Security Administration as a program analyst from 2013 to 2014 and as a disability examiner from 2007 to 2013. She began her career as a claims specialist at the Social Security Administration in 2000.

Throughout her career, Dr. Desrosiers derives the greatest satisfaction from her excellent service to the American public through the Social Security Administration's disability program, where she has been recognized for her achievements in effectively developing others and leading teams. She is particularly proud of playing a pivotal, problem-solving role when an audit revealed inaccuracies in completing the agency's disability determination forms. Tasked with developing and conducting training for the Atlanta Office of Quality Review, her efforts ensured proper coding of these forms. This training became the standard for years and earned her the prestigious Commissioner's Citation from the Social Security Administration, the highest recognition awarded by the agency.

Dr. Desrosiers' academic background is equally impressive. She earned a Doctor of Philosophy in leadership from the University of the Cumberlands in 2023, a Master of Public Health from the University of South Florida in 2001, and a Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Florida in 1998. Additionally, she holds a TESOL and TEFL Certificate from the World TESOL Academy, obtained in 2024.

Further enhancing Dr. Desrosiers' professional expertise are her associations with various industry-related and academic organizations. She is a member of the American Public Health Association, the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association, the Golden Key International Honour Society, Phi Kappa Phi, and Beta Eta Sigma.

Dr. Desrosiers attributes her success to her genuine passion for her work and her ability to mentor, train, and build teams. Her interpersonal nature has consistently drawn people to her, making her a go-to leader for training initiatives within her department.

Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Desrosiers is actively involved in various civic organizations. She served as a board member and secretary for Ashwood Estates Homeowners Association from 2018 to 2021. She was the founder and president of the Social Security Administration's Tampa Bay Area chapter of the Black Affairs Advisory Council in 2007. Her other civic engagements include roles with Covenant Care Foundation Inc., Youth Foundation for Tomorrow of Leogane Haiti Inc., and sponsorship of local Haiti community initiatives.

Dr. Desrosiers's dedication has been recognized through numerous awards, including the Federal Executive Board Outstanding Group Award in 2012, a Florida Merit Scholarship as a Bright Future Scholar in 1995, and the Home Depot Physical Education and Recreation Award from Broward County in 1995.

In her personal life, Dr. Desrosiers enjoys attending church services, her children's extracurricular activities, and journaling. Looking ahead, she aims to obtain a senior management position within the Social Security Administration or explore opportunities with other federal agencies, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institute of Health, or the Veterans Affairs. Having recently obtained her PhD, she is eager to delve deeper into scientific research and academia and pursue new exploration interests that are aligned with her professional goals.
