Mr. Bresson is a distinguished leader in the automotive industry. He recently took the position of president and CEO at GHSP, a leading global supplier of mechanical and electromechanical systems to the automotive and transportation industry, with the responsibility of building upon GHSP's strong foundation and leading the company through its next phase of growth. His previous venture was as the president, chair, and chief executive officer of Mobex Global in Southfield, Michigan, beginning in 2022. During his tenure, Mobex Global was sold to Linamar in the fourth quarter of 2023. His tenure at Mobex Global notably began in 2020 when he took on the role of chief commercial officer. Within just 15 months, Mr. Bresson was asked to head the organization. Before being acquired, Mobex Global was a global motor vehicle manufacturer specializing in lightweight innovations for automotive and heavy-duty chassis and powertrains.
Before his current position, Mr. Bresson co-founded and served as the chief executive officer of Pairaphrase, an SAAS company headquartered in Birmingham, Michigan. Under his strategic leadership, the company experienced significant growth and development. Mr. Bresson also held the positions of president and global chief operating officer at Nexteer Automotive from May 2012 until the third quarter of 2016. During his tenure at Nexteer Automotive, Mr. Bresson played a pivotal role in the company's significant growth, increasing its revenue from $2 billion to $3.2 billion and improving its earnings before interest, taxes, and depreciation from 6% to a benchmark industry level of 13%. He successfully led Nexteer to an Initial Public Offering in 2013, and the stock price increased four times during his tenure. Before this role, Mr. Bresson held various executive automotive positions including chief operating officer of the international division, and senior vice president of global sales at Nexteer Automotive.
Mr. Bresson's career began in 1995 at Continental in Germany. One of his early career highlights was his role as a program manager for the first electrical power sliding door launch for Delphi Automotive in Europe. This was also the first electrical power steering door launched in Europe. This experience provided him with valuable lessons in leadership and profit and loss responsibility as he learned to lead through influence rather than hierarchy, which has been a cornerstone of his professional success.
Mr. Bresson's educational background includes a Master of Science in Instrumentation from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UK), a Master of Science in Instrumentation from ENSICAEN, a National Graduate School of Engineering and Research Center (France), and a Master of Business Administration from the Institute of Business Administration (I.A.E.) in Caen (France) completed in 1993 and 1994. This academic foundation has been instrumental in his ability to navigate complex technical and managerial challenges throughout his career.
In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Bresson has made significant contributions to civic organizations. He is actively involved with Capuchin Kitchen in Detroit, where he donates his time and resources.
Considering his accomplishments, EY recognized Mr. Bresson as the Entrepreneur of the Year for the Midwest Region in 2016. He attributes much of his drive and determination to his childhood experiences. This drive has been evident throughout his career as he consistently seeks to turn around struggling companies or company assets.
Looking ahead, Mr. Bresson hopes to continue transforming economically challenged businesses within the automotive supply industry or more broadly the manufacturing Industry. He loves strengthening company performance by rallying the team around straightforward and effective Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), fostering cohesion and boosting overall productivity. He is particularly interested in mid-size companies headquartered in the United States/North America with an international footprint. Mr. Bresson has also ventured into new territories by co-founding a software startup (SAAS company) with a friend, which was focused on artificial intelligence technology and represented a new frontier for him.
