Working alongside his family, Dr. Snipe's wife is the editor, his son is the designer, and his brother-in-law manages all graphic artwork.
Dr. Snipe's literary contributions include authoring three books: "Traveler's Passport to the United States and Canada" in 2014, "Traveler's Passport to Caribbean, Central America, South America" in 2015 and "Traveler's Passport to Hawaii and Oceania" in 2017. His journey began with an educational representative role at Scott Foresman Publishing Company, where he dedicated 20 years from 1980 to 2000. During this period, he was pivotal in promoting educational materials and supporting educators across various regions. Following his tenure at Scott Foresman, Dr. Snipe transitioned into teaching as a substitute teacher from 2002 to 2013. His passion for education and dedication to his students have been hallmarks of his career.
Dr. Snipe graduated with a Bachelor of Science in geography, sociology, and anthropology from Utah State University in 1968 and played on the Varsity Soccer Team for three years. Subsequently, he earned a master's degree in geography from the University of Utah in 1970 before completing a Doctor of philosophy in educational administration of Latin America from the University of Utah in 1975. Dr. Snipe possesses life teaching credentials for secondary and community college education in California.
Throughout his career, Dr. Snipe has been actively involved in various industry and civic-related organizations, including the Association of American Geographers and the American Legion (he is a combat Vietnam Veteran). His commitment to community engagement is further evident through his extensive volunteer work in helping to establish the North Olympic Peninsula senior games for nearly 10 years in Port Angeles, Washington.
Among his numerous accolades, Dr. Snipe has received several marketing awards. However, he is most proud of winning 32 gold medals in the State Games of America in swimming and participating in senior games and Senior Olympics in 48 states, amassing a remarkable total of 1650 medals.
