Starting as a software engineer and progressing through roles of increasing responsibility, he ultimately served as senior director of engineering. During his time there, he played a crucial role in transitioning the company from physical to digital transactions. His efforts were instrumental in enabling Visa to handle more than 50 thousand transactions per second for online purchases, marking a significant achievement in his career. His early career saw him in various positions with Wells Fargo, SpringSource, and HCL Technologies.
Mr. Betageri's educational background has been foundational to his success. He is pursuing professional education courses in leadership, innovation and digital transformation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and earned an executive Master of Business Administration from the Quantic School of Business and Technology. He also holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Visvesvaraya Technological University. In recognition of his contributions to his field, he received the Digital Transformation Award from Columbia University in 2020.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Betageri is an artist involved in civic organizations. He is an Indian classical Vocalist and Tabla player, vocal coach, performer, and the founder of Naad-Performing Arts and is an advisory board member at KDC Dental Academy and DevNetwork.
Born in India, Mr. Betageri enjoys playing, teaching and listening to music.
