She has held positions at Autism Allies in Agawam, Massachusetts, since 2022 and Transcend ABA in New York City since early 2024, where she has been instrumental in providing behaviorally based treatment therapies for patients. Ms. Mike's extensive expertise and dedication have earned her recognition within her field.
Affiliated with Autism Allies since 2021, Ms. Mike initially served as a behavior therapist at the facility's West Springfield, Massachusetts, location from 2021 to 2022. Her commitment and skill quickly led to her promotion to case manager in 2022. That same year, she advanced to her current role as a board-certified behavior analyst.
Before transitioning into behavior analysis, Ms. Mike had an extensive career as a paramedic. She worked with Alert Ambulance Service Inc. in Chicopee, Massachusetts, from 2010 to 2014 and 2016 to 2020. Between these periods, she served with Pioneer Valley EMS in Chicopee from 2014 to 2016. Before pivoting into emergency services, Ms. Mike was a police officer with the Enfield Police Department in Enfield, Connecticut, between 2000 and 2006.
Ms. Mike's academic background includes an undergraduate degree in sociology from Eastern Connecticut State University in 1995, A Bachelor of Science on Psychology and Ethics, summa cum laude, from Bay Path University in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, in 2020, and a Master of Science in applied behavior analysis, summa cum laude, from Bay Path University in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, in 2022, and has received additional training in Trauma Informed ABA care. Adding to her qualifications, Ms. Mike received police officer certification from the Connecticut Police Academy P.O.S.T. 288, paramedic certification from Greenfield Community College, and board certification in behavior analyst designation.
Adding to her professional achievements, Ms. Mike's career is complemented by her active involvement in industry-related organizations such as the Massachusetts Association for Applied Behavior Analysis, Connecticut Association for Behavior Analysis and the Association for Behavior Analysis International. She is also active civically with the Northampton Cycling Club, Enfield Fencing Club, Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, as the chief executive officer of In Harm's Way Foundation in Hartford, Connecticut, and as a member of the nominations committee for the Somers Republican Town Committee.
In light of her success, Ms. Mike received a Parent Training Award for having the highest number of parent training hours at her organization. Looking ahead, she aims to further develop her functional analysis skills and expand her consulting work.
