Additionally, his role entails meeting with customers to ensure comprehensive solutions that include machines, service contracts, aftermarket services, parts availability, extended warranties and full support for the entire life of the machine. Under Mr. Gomez's skillful leadership, LiuGong has experienced an impressive growth rate of 180 percent in the past two years, positioning it as one of the company's most profitable regions globally.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Gomez was a valued staff member at Caterpillar, where he held several key positions from 2007 to 2022 and was recognized with a Chairman Award. His journey there began in the role of territory manager, and he soon was promoted to rental representative, rental consultant, heavy rental specialist, and finally, manager for the Latin America and Canada region in the oil and gas sector. Before joining Caterpillar, Mr. Gomez was the general manager at Carclinic from 2003 to 2007.
Mr. Gomez's academic background includes a Bachelor of Economics from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, where he graduated in 2006. In addition to his education, he attributes his success to consistency, taking action and maintaining discipline — principles that have guided him throughout his career and contributed to his achievements.
Outside of his career, Mr. Gomez enjoys participating in triathlons, working out, playing with his three children and spending quality time with his family. Looking ahead, he aspires to assume leadership of LiuGong North America within a decade. As he looks to the future, he is especially enthusiastic about electrical machinery, which is bringing about a positive change in the industry by reducing ownership costs and contributing to environmental preservation.
