Mr. Maule's professional trajectory commenced with his service in the U.S. Air Force, where he attained the rank of captain from 1974 to 1978. This experience instilled in him a sense of discipline and leadership that would prove invaluable in his subsequent roles. Following his military service, Mr. Maule joined Harris Corporation as an engineer and quickly ascended to a management position within six months. During his tenure at the organization, which spanned from 1978 to 1992, he introduced numerous cutting-edge technologies and was promoted to VP Development, Assistant General Manager, and had P&L responsibility as VP of the Simulation Business.
Transitioning to Lockheed Missiles & Space Company, Mr. Maule became the director of business development and commercial programs, where he spearheaded commercial product development until 1994. He then served as the vice president of marketing, business development, and custom engineering at Concurrent Computer Corporation from 1994 to 1996. Mr. Maule's expertise in business development and marketing engineering for technologies was further honed as the vice president and general manager of the graphics division at Evans & Sutherland Computer Corporation between 1996 and 1999, during which the division developed and deployed the industry's first graphics capability allowing Intel personal computers to rival best in class 3D graphics workstations.
Mr. Maule's career flourished as he took on the role of vice president and general manager of mobile connectivity at 3Com from 2000 to 2002. He then became chief executive officer of NetEffect, leading the company until 2008, at which time it was acquired by Intel. In addition to his corporate roles, Mr. Maule made significant contributions as an entrepreneur-in-residence at the Office of Technology Commercialization at the University of Texas at Austin in 2009 and as an associate partner at LGE Execs from 2009 to 2011. He then served as the senior director of product management at Qualcomm from 2010 to 2018, where he managed low-power processors before moving on to work for Arm, a semiconductor manufacturing company, in a similar capacity between 2018 and 2019. Besides his full-time commitments, Mr. Maule was instrumental on the board of advocates for the college of engineering and computer science at Baylor University from 2004 to 2010.
Highly educated, Mr. Maule earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Arkansas, with a dual specialization in Digital Design and Biomedical Engineering for his Masters. While in college, he became active in Eta Kappa Nu (Electrical Engineering Honor Society), Tau Beta Pi (Engineering Honor Society), and Kappa Kappa Psi (Music Honor Society), as well as Commander of the UofA Arnold Air Society (for USAF ROTC). Today, he remains abreast of industry trends as a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and various consulting and advisory activities. Outside of his professional life, he is also committed to supporting his church and Christian missions.
