He is owner and operator of Patrick Nau Photography, a business he started in 1980. Across an impressive career, he has photographed many hundreds of weddings as well as family and children's portraits. He is now an expert in photographing pets, capturing their essence with passion, skill and impeccable timing. His broad leadership responsibilities include maintaining his welcoming studio, expertly preparing images for printing, and delivering portraits to his clients. Mr. Nau remains wholly committed to his craft, a commitment that is evident in every aspect of his business.
From 2006 to 2016, Mr. Nau also thrived and grew his business in a significant partnership with a well-known pet food store. This crucial partnership occurred during the time the pet store expanded from 12 to 24 stores. During this period, he photographed all 12 new store open houses (at one store photographing 102 sessions in 6 hours). He also did in-store pet portraits during the holidays and business portraits for management. In addition, he launched a popular contest which featured winning clients portraits displayed at each store. These initiatives not only showcased Mr. Nau's photographic and personality skills, it contributed to the goodwill of the growing pet food store chain.
Mr. Nau's journey began with coursework in audio-visual technology and photography at Hennepin Technical College between 1976 and 1978, and his training led him to start his career as a professional photographer. As always he proudly prioritizes the highest standard, along with a discerning eye for detail in creating portraits that his clients truly love.

His supports a number of charities and volunteers with Catholic Charities Minnesota to help feed the homeless.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Mr. Nau enjoys a variety of personal interests including tennis, reading and meditation. These activities provide him with a well-rounded lifestyle and present opportunities to seek balance and inspiration. Looking toward the future, he plans to expand his business and embrace new challenges.
