Before being named the senior director, Mr. Adams was the corporate controller at Quipt Home Medical from 2020 to 2022, managing financial operations and reporting. Before joining his organization, he held several significant roles that contributed to his extensive expertise. From 2018 to 2020, Mr. Adams was the assistant controller of revenue operations at Paycor. His career also included tenure as the director of internal audit at Medpace from 2015 to 2018 and as the global director of internal audit at Trimble Navigation between 2006 to 2015. Earlier in his career, Mr. Adams worked as a senior auditor at Ernst & Young from 2005 to 2006 and as the reporting and compliance manager at Dayton Superior between 2003 and 2005. He was also a controller and assistant treasurer at DT Industries from 2002 to 2003. Besides his fieldwork, Mr. Adams has contributed to academia by teaching Introduction to Accounting at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio.
Mr. Adams's journey into accounting began after an illustrious military career in the U.S. Air Force, where he served for over 11 years and was deployed during Desert Storm in 1990. Following his military service, he pursued an education at Wright State University in Dayton, where he acquired a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance in 1998. Mr. Adams has since earned several prestigious certifications that underscore his expertise. He is a Certified public accountant through the Accountancy Board of Ohio, a Certified internal auditor through the Institute of Internal Auditors Inc., and a Certified fraud examiner through the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. These credentials have been instrumental in his ability to help companies ensure compliance with regulations while enhancing their processes and efficiency. He is also recognized as a black belt in taekwondo.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Adams is actively involved in various industry-related organizations, such as the Association of Fraud Examiners and the Institute of Internal Auditors. Outside of his professional life, he is dedicated to civic engagement through his involvement with Crossroads Church in Cincinnati.
