She then served as a field engineer at Largo Concrete Inc. from 1999 to 2000, gaining valuable experience in construction and site management. From 2000 to 2002, she worked as a WEBCOR project engineer further developing her expertise in managing large-scale construction projects.
In 2002, Ms. Hunter transitioned to senior estimator at WEBCOR until 2008, estimating project costs on large self-performed concrete structures. Her meticulous attention to detail and analytical skills were key factors in the client's success. From 2011 to 2014, she served as a BIM project manager at XL Construction Corporation, integrating digital models with physical buildings to enhance project efficiency.
In 2014, Ms. Hunter founded Avixi Inc., a 3D technology for construction company where she has served as president the past decade. Under her leadership, Avixi Inc. completed quality control projects totaling 5 million square feet and 3 million square feet of virtual realities for clients. Her proactive approach to identifying industry pain points and assembling a talented team has driven her clients' advancements. She received a Technical Disclosure Commons patent for BIM for operational facility management in 2018, further exemplifying her innovative mindset and commitment to advancing the industry.
Ms. Hunter's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Ottawa in 1996. She has been certified as an Engineer in Training from the Board of Professional Engineers and Surveyors since 1998.
