Over the years, Ms. Schwartz honed her expertise through various organizations, including MiSide, Team Wellness Center, and Sollars and Associates Integrative Counseling and Psychological Services. In addition to her foundation in counseling, she has held several entertainment and media arts roles with Nine9 The UnAgency, Cengage Group, Publications International, Sylvan Learning Center, FAITH Magazine, Michigan State University Press, and The Romeo Observer, among others.
A leader in her field, Ms. Schwartz holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in general management from Michigan State University's Honors College, an MBA degree from Wayne State University, and a Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree from Antioch University. She is a certified social media strategist, children's book writer, and digital content coder. Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Ms. Schwartz is also a Certified Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CAADC) and aligns herself with professional organizations including the American Counseling Association, the Michigan Counseling Association, the Michigan Mental Health Counselors Association, the National Board for Certified Counselors, Chi Sigma Iota, and the International Association of Professional Writers and Editors, to name a few.
In conjunction with her work, Ms. Schwartz has contributed to her community through Ascension Hospital, where she provided spiritual services, Turning Point, Michigan State University's Teaching Assistant Tutoring Program, and the university's Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities. Given her professional achievements, she received the Donald D. Davis Scholarship during her studies. Though hard work and dedication have brought her far in her career, Ms. Schwartz credits her success to her mother's unwavering support and passion for healthcare as well as her father's invaluable wisdom and entrepreneurial spirit, which has consistently inspired her.
