A seasoned engineer with decades of experience, Mr. Wilkerson graduated from Sidney Lanier Junior High School in 1973 and Mirabeau B. Lamar Senior High School in 1975. In the ensuing years, he expanded his educational resume by pursuing coursework at the Engineering Concepts Institute at Prairie View A&M University as a freshman, further obtaining a B.S. at Texas Southern University in Architecture/Construction. He also pursued Engineering Certification in Wastewater Engineering at Texas A&M University Extension, where he was President of the Alumni Association School of Technology, Texas Southern University. He also joined Texas Southern University School of Science and Engineering and Technology as the author of a community service project.
Recently, Mr. Wilkerson was unanimously elected by the Texas State Conference of the Knights of St. Peter Claver to the Office of Recording Secretary for the 2024-2026 Conference, An Environmental Quality Specialist for the City of Houston, Wastewater Engineering Department. He also served as an airman in the United States Navy from 1976 to 1980 and was honorable dischanged. He aligned himself with the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. as an officer lieutenant strategist, the Houston Alumni Association, and the Alumni Association at Texas Southern University. Devoted to those less fortunate, he is an ambassador of the Catholic League for the Poor of Nigeria, through which he is contributing to a mental health and acute care hospital project and volunteers to feed the homeless with St. Mary's of the Purification Catholic Church. He is also a contributor to Cross Catholic Outreach and water well design for underdeveloped countries.
Given his professional achievements, Mr. Wilkerson was named an Outstanding Young Man of America in 1985 and has been recognized by his church. Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, he credits his success to his inspiration, Rev.
