Over the years, Ms. Rahman gained valuable nonprofit, financial management, and leadership experience as president and chief executive officer of Ms. Foundation for Women and vice president of development for The Rainforest Alliance. Likewise, she has excelled as principal of the eponymous Rahman Consulting LLC, an executive leadership and management consultancy. She was driven to further her industry knowledge and received a diversity, equity, and inclusion certificate from Cornell University. Backed by years of professional experience, Ms. Rahman is the chief executive officer of the National Diversity Council, which advocates for diversity and inclusion in various initiatives.
To remain abreast of ongoing industry changes, Ms. Rahman aligns herself with Chief, a private network dedicated to driving women into positions of power, the Columbia Law School Association, and the Council on Foreign Relations. She also devotes herself to MADRE and the Bangladesh International Tutorial School in conjunction with her work. Due to her vast knowledge, Ms. Rahman has contributed to publications such as "Female Genital Mutilation: A Guide to Laws and Policies Worldwide."
In recognition of her professional achievements, Ms. Rahman won the Lawrence A. Wien Prize for Social Responsibility from Columbia University's School of Law, the Our Pride Award from Bangladeshi American Foundation USA, a Leadership Award from South Asian Youth Action, and a Legal Trailblazer Award from the South Asian Bar Association. While her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Rahman takes the most pride in co-founding the Center for Reproductive Rights and serving as the chief executive officer of the Ms. Foundation for Women.
