Among other noteworthy positions, Mr. Meuret was a New Mexico Agent Manager for UnitedHealthcare from 2017 to 2018 and a broker/agent for HealthMarkets as the New Mexico Market Manager between 2014 and 2017. His commitment to service and leadership was also instrumental as the director of The Team Veteran Foundation from 2014 to 2015, as an independent consultant for Transworld Systems between 2013 and 2014, and as a manager and principal at Surgical Specialties from 2011 to 2013.
Mr. Meuret honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force as an imagery interpreter technician from 1981 to 1988, laying the foundation for his disciplined work ethic and dedication. He served as part of the infamous "Berlin for Lunch Bunch." During his military service, he earned an Associate of Applied Science in imagery intelligence analysis from the Community College of the Air Force in 1988. Subsequently, Mr. Meuret attended the University of New Mexico, where he garnered a Bachelor of Business Administration with dual majors in International Management and Marketing and a Master of Business Administration majoring in Operations Management Science in 1990 and 1993, respectively. He is fluent in English and German.
Mr. Meuret's life beyond the office has been enriched by his involvement with several civic-minded organizations. He was a Lodge Adviser of the Order of the Arrow, (the honor society of the Boy Scouts) as well as serving as a District Commissioner, Scoutmaster and Cubmaster and a member of the American Red Cross's disaster assistance team. Mr. Meuret also served as a corporate board member of the New Mexico Veteran Business Advocates, an ambassador and board member for the Rio Rancho Regional Chamber of Commerce, a Sandoval County board member for the Selective Service System, an Ambassador for Northern New Mexico Honor Flight and a member of the Holistic Chamber of Commerce.
In honor of his service, Mr. Meuret has been decorated with several awards, including 6 U.S. Department of Defense Air Medals for sustained aerial flight under hazardous and hostile conditions from 1985 to 1988, authorized by U.S. President Ronald Reagan, and a U.S. Air Force Commendation Medal in 1988, Vigil Member of the Order of the Arrow and the Silver Beaver from the Boy Scouts of America both in 2008.
