Previously working for Softtek as the global senior director for retail since 2019, Mr. Manente has also made significant contributions at Estapar, the largest parking and mobility company in Latin America based in Brazil, as its head of information technology and head of innovation and market intelligence. His efforts in establishing the foundational infrastructure for digitalization and enabling advanced digital parking capabilities through developing a proprietary POS, virtual wallets and online pre-booking led to substantial success and international interest to the company that was integrated to the Equity International portfolio in 2016.
Mr. Manente's career also includes notable roles at Wal-Mart Brazil and International, where he served as merchandising and integration system manager and later as a senior manager for the International Markets. His earlier career saw him as an Enterprise Application integration team leader at Sprint/IBM from 2005 to 2008 and a solutions architect at Sprint/IBM in 2007.
His expertise in retail processes and artificial intelligence has earned him recognition as number 9 of the top 25 Consumer and Retail Consultants and leaders by The Consulting Report in both 2024 and 2023 and number 16 of the top Sales and Marketing Consultants, also in 2024. He has also received awards from Softtek in 2022, the Bravo Award from IBM in 2006, and an award from Walmart International in 2012.
Initially studying system development, and graduating with a Bachelor Degree of Information System both in Brazil, Mr Manente went on to earn a Master in Financial Management at Faculdade Ítalo Brasileira and a Master of Science in artificial intelligence and machine learning from The University of Texas at Austin in 2021. Additionally, he has been certified as a professional cloud architect and professional data engineer by Google, and as an e-commerce manager by Internet Innovation.
Mr. Manente attributes his success to his unwavering resilience in facing numerous challenges throughout his career. This resilience has been instrumental in his ability to innovate and lead transformative projects across various organizations. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys playing soccer and boating.
