Where he provided extensive academic structure and policy for this new comprehensive community college that was created after a state directed, equal partner college merger.

His first educational position, 2003 -2009, in the United States, was at Massachusetts Bay Community College where he served as department chairperson, faculty member and interim dean.

Dr. Glisson's US experience began in clinical practice as a staff radiologic technologist at St Joseph Hospital from 2002 to 2004. Before this role, he was a founding senior lecturer in the new department of radiography and medical imaging with the faculty of medicine at Monash University from 1998 to 2001 in Australia. Born in Australia, Dr. Glisson faced challenges upon immigrating to the United States and restarting his education career. He worked a fast-food position as he completed specific courses to allow recertification in his field that would reinstate his ability to clinical practice. Dr. Glisson attributes his professional success both in Australia and the U.S. to his belief that his own actions, not events outside his control, are what define him. He enjoys being a ham radio operator, fixing things around the house and old sports cars as hobbies. In the upcoming years, he hopes to return his expertise to higher education by serving as an inspirational and innovative community college president.
