Mr. Buring's background includes a Bachelor of Science in Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida, where he graduated in 2010. After completing his studies, he embarked on a journey as an international sales director with a global trading company, traveling to over 30 countries and building enduring relationships with clients worldwide. As an international business consultant intern at SKS Innovating People LTD, he gained invaluable experience in global business practices. He then joined White Mountain Group, Inc. as the international manager of sales and marketing, a role in which he honed his skills in managing international sales strategies and building strong client relationships across various countries. In 2013, he became executive vice president at Champion Foods.
Mr. Buring is actively involved in several industry-related organizations; for several food service buying groups, his company has been the sole supplier of various foods for decades. Outside of his career, Mr. Buring is deeply committed to civic engagement and volunteer work. He began in 2012 as a teacher and coach for Mifalot, which reaches out to people via youth soccer. (He has been mentioned in the New York Times as a leader in distributing kosher foods and ingredients in the United States.) He has also volunteered in various Middle Eastern countries where Champion Foods imports and exports to and from. He helped fight erosion at Lake Pontchartrain by helping with agricultural and coastal restoration, donated five truckloads of water to San Antonio, and donated to other food banks within the Southeast region.
As a dedicated twin, brother, son, and cousin, Mr. Buring enjoys spending time with his family and engaging in activities such as fishing, reading, cooking, hosting family and friends, playing soccer, and supporting his beloved Florida Gators, New Orleans Saints, and Liverpool Football Club.
