GIRDWOOD, AK, August 08, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Simon Evans has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Driven by publicly available data showing atmospheric warming which in turn has led to the thawing of permafrost soils and is jeopardizing the sustainability of Arctic infrastructure, Mr. Evans created an economical solution for active ground-cooling tailored for facility foundations and other infrastructure located in the Arctic. Upon developing this breakthrough innovative technology, he founded a new startup business, Stabilice, to address this increasing problem. As the owner, principal, and chief executive officer, he channels more than 25 years of engineering expertise into overseeing daily business operations. Alongside his work with Stabilice, Mr. Evans serves as the owner and president of Applied Research and Engineering Inc., an engineering consultancy headquartered in Alaska.
An expert in his field, Mr. Evans completed pre-engineering coursework at the University of Minnesota and Western Colorado University. Subsequently, he expanded upon his professional knowledge, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and a Bachelor of Applied Science in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Utah, and a Master of Science in civil engineering from the University of Alaska, Anchorage. In order to stay abreast of changes in the field, Mr. Evans maintains affiliation with the Association of Energy Engineers and the American Society of Civil Engineers, and is currently in pursuit of a Master of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Alaska, Anchorage.
Alongside his work, Mr. Evans dedicates himself to his community by providing meals to individuals experiencing financial difficulties. In the coming months, he will embark on a second charitable mission to Brazil. With the assistance of his Marketing Director Gizele Tavares, a Brazilian Native with a background in journalism, he plans to organize an event to feed those in need. Due to his vast breadth of knowledge, he co-authored the memoir "Stabilice Cooling A Warm Planet". In light of his innovative methodologies in the development of ground cooling technology, he received the Arctic Kicker Award for his recently patented ground-cooling technology at the Arctic Innovation Competition held in Fairbanks, Alaska. Looking ahead, Mr. Evans intends to elevate Stabilice Frozen Foundation Systems to new heights as the industry standard for foundation systems located in Arctic environments, and work on more large-scale projects.
