Before being promoted to his current role in 2020, he served Malwarebytes as a senior QA engineer from 2019 to 2020. Both these positions were based in the San Francisco Bay Area. His tenure with the company began in Tallinn, Estonia, where he worked as a senior QA engineer from 2016 to 2019.
Before joining Malwarebytes, Mr. Dubovskiy was a senior QA engineer at News360 in Moscow, Russia, in 2016. From 2014 to 2016, he held the dual roles of senior QA engineer and QA team lead at Luxoft, Deutsche Bank, also in Moscow. His career also includes significant contributions as a software developer in testing and QA team lead at Parallels from 2011 to 2014, where he received the Parallels Global Award in September 2013 for his exemplary work.
Mr. Dubovskiy also contributed to his field by working as a lead quality assurance engineer at Sibirenergo-Billing from 2010 to 2011 and as a quality assurance engineer at Novoprof B.V. from 2008 to 2010. He initially entered the field as a quality assurance engineer at BCS-IT after starting his professional journey as a system administrator at Municipal Educational Institution "Prestige" from 2005 to 2006.
Academically, Mr. Dubovskiy holds two specialist degrees from Novosibirsk State Technical University, both earned in Russia. The first is a specialist degree in English translation in the technical field, earned in 2007, while the other is focused on telecommunication with a major in multichannel telecommunication systems, which he obtained in 2006.
Complementing his academic achievements, Mr. Dubovskiy is certified by the International Software Testing Qualifications Board and maintains membership with the same organization. He holds certifications as a certified tester for advanced levels as a test manager and advanced levels as a technical test analyst, both obtained in 2016. He is also a certified tester with a foundation-level certification in 2013.
Mr. Dubovskiy attributes his success to his grit, good luck and the guidance of mentors throughout his career. He is very proud of his professional journey from starting projects like My Account automation and testing from scratch to achieving consistent successful outcomes.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Dubovskiy is actively involved with several civic-minded organizations, including the National Psoriasis Foundation, USA, Wikipedia and Wikimedia. In his personal life, he enjoys going on road trips and hiking. He aims to make a positive impact on the industry in the upcoming years through his work as an engineer, continually striving to contribute meaningfully to his field.
