After a successful tenure at Feldstein Grinberg Lang & McKee PC, where he started as an associate in 1983 and rose to senior shareholder, Mr. Lang decided to embark on a new chapter in his career by establishing his own practice in 2021. During his remarkable career, Mr. Lang has tried over 40 jury trial cases to verdict, specializing in plaintiffs' personal injury cases, including product liability, medical malpractice, and civil rights cases.
Mr. Lang began his legal journey after earning a Bachelor of Arts in government from William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Capital University Law School. He was soon admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1980 and became recognized for his proficiency in civil trial advocacy, earning board certification from the National Board of Trial Advocacy in 1999.
Apart from his education, Mr. Lang has been active as a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) and the American Bar Association. He is also a member and former governor of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County and a member and former bench bar conference chair of the Allegheny County Bar Association (ACBA). These associations reflect his commitment to the legal profession and his continuous pursuit of excellence. Moreover, Mr. Lang is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
Beyond his legal practice, Mr. Lang is an accomplished author who published two chapters in The Allegheny County Common Pleas Court Manual via the PBA. He has also lectured numerous times before professional groups and presented in over 50 continuing legal education courses. Mr. Lang recently completed his first novel, a legal thriller, "The Intruder's Visions, A Legal Journey" and is now working on the sequel. He also penned a memoir. Mr. Lang's passion for writing complements his legal expertise, allowing him to explore complex legal narratives creatively. He has also completed 18 marathons.
Mr. Lang has been actively involved in civic activities as a volunteer with Neighborhood Legal Services since 1999 and as a reading interventionist with OASIS Tutoring since 2022. He previously spent over two decades representing clients in protection from abuse matters on a pro bono basis. Furthermore, Mr. Lang served three terms on the board of governors for the Allegheny Bar Foundation, where he now remains active on the board. He also served two terms as a council member for the Pleasant Hills Borough Council, two terms as the president of his local chamber of commerce, and was active on the board of directors for Neighborhood Legal Services.
Mr. Lang's contributions to the legal community have been recognized through various awards, including being named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer by Philadelphia Magazine every year since 2005, receiving the Lifetime Pro Bono Award from the Allegheny County Bar Foundation in 2017, and three additional pro bono awards from the PBA and the ACBA.
