    WAUSAU, WI, August 12, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- David G. Anderson has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Mr. Anderson has dedicated his career to education, public service, and political engagement, making significant contributions across various roles. He began as a German teacher at Lakeland High School in Minocqua, Wisconsin, from 1979 to 1985. Shortly thereafter, his passion for government and politics led him to serve as deputy state director in the Office of U.S. Senator Robert W. Kasten Jr. between 1985 and 1992. In 1993, Mr. Anderson briefly held the vice president of marketing role at Lampert-Lee & Associates before becoming an appointments director and northern office director in the Office of Governor Tommy Thompson from 1993 to 1997.

As he continually progressed, Mr. Anderson became the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions policy advisor in 1997 and, as executive assistant, served as a member of the senior management team and the agency's third-ranking official. In 2002, he was named the policy director in the Office of Governor Scott McCallum before transitioning to government relations director at Ruder Ware L.L.S.C., where he worked until 2005. Subsequently, Mr. Anderson was a district director in the Office of Congressman Tom Petri from 2005 to 2011 and then in the same role for Congressman Sean Duffy between 2011 and 2013.

One of Mr. Anderson's most fulfilling roles was assistant deputy secretary for the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development from 2013 to 2018. In this capacity, he oversaw a large team and supported those seeking employment opportunities; oversaw the administration of Wisconsin's unemployment and workers' compensation programs; and assisted individuals with disabilities enter the workforce.

Mr. Anderson graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Superior in 1978 with a Bachelor of Arts in social studies and German. In addition to his professional achievements, he is involved in several industry- and civic-related organizations. He has been a senior policy fellow at the Wisconsin Institute for Public Policy and Service since 2018 and has been an active member of the University of Wisconsin-Superior Alumni Association and Foundation, and the Wisconsin Historical Society Board of Curators. Moreover, Mr. Anderson has been very involved in Rotary International, serving as a past club president and as the 2022-2023 district governor for Rotary District 6220. As district governor he was responsible for managing the organization's operation, overseeing various activities, including outreach to the 39 Rotary clubs in his district, and representation of the district at Rotary International conferences and conventions.

Mr. Anderson's career has been marked by a deep commitment to public service, community involvement, and continuous personal growth influenced by meaningful relationships and experiences.
