Ms. Gee's interest in construction was sparked by discovering blueprints in her house and being introduced to blueprints by her sister's godmother, an Architect for the Army Core of Engineer.

Ms. Gee, a Construction Project Manager, has dedicated over two decades to the construction industry. As the Director of Special Projects at Granite Innovations Inc. since 2024, she oversees institutional projects, reviews and bids on jobs, and actively pursues new projects. Ms. Gee's responsibilities also include updating schedules, coordinating with field teams to manage the workforce, monitoring project budgets, soliciting new clients, bidding, material procurement, and collaborating with design teams and subcontractors to ensure project success.

Leveraging over 20 years of former success in her field, Ms. Gee previously held the title of project manager at James McHugh Construction Company from 2012 to 2024. During this period, she honed her skills in managing large-scale construction projects and developed a reputation for her meticulous attention to detail and leadership abilities. Before becoming a project manager, Ms. Gee was an assistant project manager for the organization between 2005 and 2012 in the Greater Chicago area.

Ms. Gee's career began as an intern at the Chicago Transit Authority Engineering Department from 2002 to 2003. She then interned at EMC Construction Group Construction Department in 2004. Following these internships, she worked as a project engineer at Bulley & Andrews LLC in the Greater Chicago Area from 2005 to 2010. She also briefly served as a Project Manager for Icon Identity Solutions in 2005. Moreover, Ms. Gee found success as a project engineer at Ujamaa Construction Inc. in the Greater Chicago area between 2011 and 2012.

Ms. Gee's interest in construction was sparked by discovering blueprints in her house and being introduced to blueprints by her sister's godmother, an Architect for the Army Core of Engineer. This early exposure ignited her passion for drawing and building structures, leading her to pursue a career in construction. Among some of her most notable projects, Ms. Gee was involved with expanding Terminal 3 at the Chicago O'Hare International Airport. She also contributed to several high-end and mid-range hotels in downtown Chicago, including The Peninsula and The Ritz, and the historic renovation of the Remova Theater, which was built in the 1800s. Additionally, she has experience in retail development, renovations of existing and occupied health care and educational institutions as well as LEED projects.

Born on the south side of Chicago, Ms. Gee studied locally after high school, receiving a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering with a minor in environmental engineering from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2005. Subsequently, she garnered a Master of Project Management from the Keller Graduate School of Management at DeVry University in 2010.

In addition to her professional achievements, Ms. Gee is actively involved in industry-related organizations, such as the Federation of Women Contractors, and Professional Women in Construction. She also participates in civic engagements, including the Youth Program Outreach through GI Stone, demonstrating her commitment to giving back to the community.

Ms. Gee attributes her success to her dedication, mentorship, and integrity, which have been instrumental throughout her career.
