Since 2024, she has been an executive vice president leading the State and Local Government portfolio of business at Capgemini, a global business and technology company. In this role, she creates and executes strategies for the industry's growth and ensures the delivery of quality services to customers. Ms. Howen is also responsible for nurturing relationships with the organization's clients, which she has excelled in throughout her career.
Before her current position, Ms. Howen was the Chief Transformation Officer at TELUS International from 2022 to 2023. During her tenure, she led initiatives that significantly impacted communities, including one in India that resulted in the hiring of over 30 young women and showcased Ms. Howen's commitment to social responsibility.
Ms. Howen's career also included significant roles at Atos, where she served as the Vice President and Head of the Public Sector industry for the Americas, Executive Vice President and Global Head of Public Sector and Defense and Executive Vice President and Global Head of Digital Transformation between 20 and 2022. Her work at Atos is a source of immense pride, having transformed and grown technical talent within the organization while maintaining solid relationships with her team and customers. These positions followed Ms. Howen's role as the Vice President and Account Executive for the State of Texas from 2016 to 2020.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Howen held several key positions, including as the Chief Information Officer for the City of Indianapolis/Marion County Information Services Agency in Indianapolis between 2012 and 2016, where she was also Deputy Chief Information Officer from 2012 to 2013. She also managed all technical operations at TelSpan WorldWide Conferencing Inc. between 2009 and 2011 and directed enterprise business intelligence at OneAmerica from 2007 to 2008. Among other positions, Ms. Howen's leadership journey began with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management as the Chief Information Officer in 1995.
Ms. Howen's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in information technology from Purdue University. She furthered her expertise through certification in executive leadership from Stanford University and a leadership program from the Insead Business School in Fountainebleau, France.
