Leveraging close to 19 years of professional experience, Ms. Tanwar is distinguished in the fields of information technology and product engineering. Since 2023, she has thrived as the associate vice president of engineering at GlobalLogic in San Diego. In her unique position, Ms. Tanwar maintains responsibility for overseeing strategic engineering delivery and product engineering while concurrently managing accounts for prominent companies in the fintech, health care and retail sectors. In addition, she serves as a guide to approximately 200 individuals spanning across three continents and seven countries – including engineers, product owners and business analysts – to ensure the successful execution of product engineering initiatives.
Ms. Tanwar first joined GlobalLogic in 2016 in her native India, where she served as a manager of product engineering for three years. Following this period, she immigrated to the United States to work at GlobalLogic in San Diego, serving as a senior manager of product engineering between 2020 and 2021. Before assuming her current role, Ms. Tanwar was the director of product engineering between 2021 and 2023.
Ms. Tanwar excelled in varying executive positions within the product management sphere in India, commencing her career in 2006 with Dell as a senior technical associate. As her career progressed, Ms. Tanwar also served as an information technology consultant at Logica, a project analyst and trainer at a couple of startups in India, and a business analyst at Interworld Commnet and Nvish. Additionally, she served as a product manager of mobile, tablets and web applications at IMImobile, a product manager of enterprise applications at AppPoint Software Solutions, and a Core member of the start-up with responsibilities of product management at SmartCloud Infotech Pvt. Ltd. Subsequently, Ms. Tanwar assumed the role of associate general manager of products at JetSynthesys Pvt. Ltd. before accepting her current appointment at GlobalLogic.
To prepare for her career, Ms. Tanwar pursued a formal education at Kurukshetra University in India. In 2006, she earned a Bachelor of Technology in electronics and communications engineering, having thereafter earned a Master of Business Administration in marketing and human resources in 2010.
Among the many milestones of her career, Ms. Tanwar is particularly proud of helping a startup company to develop a mobile security application for women between 2012 and 2015. Instrumental in designing, developing and leading the team that brought the application to life, she was subsequently contacted by the Indian government, who recognized the application's potential and collaborated with Ms. Tanwar and her team. Following this period, the application was implemented in partnership with the New Delhi Police Department, and Ms. Tanwar worked closely with the police commissioners to deploy the application on a national scale. For this success, the application was inducted into the NASSCOM Hall of Fame. Swati was honored as the cover story for the regional and national Dailies of India in 2015.
As a testament to her longstanding dedication to product development, Ms. Tanwar has been bestowed with numerous accolades. In 2022 and 2023, she twice earned the Excellence in Delivery Leadership Award from GlobalLogic. The company also honored Ms. Tanwar with the Walk the Talk Award in 2018, two Leadership Awards in 2017 and 2018, and the Best Team Award in 2017. Moreover, she received the CEO Award and the Outstanding Leadership Award from SmartCloud Infotech Pvt. Ltd. in 2014 and 2015, respectively.
