    MIDDLETOWN, DE, August 16, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Cynthia D. Snooks-Key, MBA, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. Mrs. Snooks-Key is a distinguished professional with over three decades of experience in financial management, compliance and analysis. During her capacity as the Chief of Staff in the Office of Financial Management (PFM) at the U.S. Department of the Interior, a role she has held since 2020, she plans and directs all administrative, financial, and operational activities for the Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Director of PFM. Her responsibilities include organizing and prioritizing critical issues and required information to facilitate efficient decision-making and ensuring the smooth operation of the PFM.

Prior to her current role, Mrs. Snooks-Key was a Financial Management Specialist at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management from 2010 to 2020. During this period, she honed her skills in strategic planning, contributing significantly to the Agency Financial Report (AFR). From 2006 to 2010, she served as an alternate federal women's program manager at the Federal Bureau of Prisons, where she advocated for gender equality and supported women's professional development within the organization.

Mrs. Snooks-Key's extensive career began in 1982 at the Department of Insurance as a Clerk Typist and later advanced to Principal Audit Account Clerk. In 1985, she joined the United States Property and Fiscal Office (USPFO) as an Accounting Technician. Moving out of the State and Federal arenas, she further engaged her skill by working for non-profit organizations such as Head Start, Boys and Girls Club of America, Youth Advocacy, and Ameri-Corps. In 1999 she re-entered the Federal workforce for the Federal Bureau of Prisons as an Accounting Technician, later advanced to become a Budget and Fiscal Specialist from 2003 to 2010. Her early roles laid a strong foundation for her expertise in financial management and analysis. Additionally, she hails from a notable military background, having served for over two decades as a Sergeant in the New Jersey Army National Guard as a Finance Specialist from 1981 to 1996 and as a Staff Sergeant in the New Jersey Air Guard as a Personnel Apprentice from 1996 to 2002. Her dedication to excellence has been recognized through various awards, including the Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Medal and the Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal from the New Jersey Army National Guard. She was also named one of the Top 50 Women Leaders of Maryland by Women We Admire.

Mrs. Snooks-Key is pursuing a Ph.D. in Organization and Management, with a cognate in Executive Coaching, at Liberty University, where she has been inducted into the Omega Nu Lambda National Honor Society for Online Students. She holds a Master of Business Administration with a focus in accounting from American Public University System, where she graduated with honors in 2015. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Paralegal Studies from the Kaplan College of Professional Studies, where she graduated in 2006.

Mrs. Snooks-Key has obtained several certifications that have bolstered her professional capabilities, including an Executive Leadership certificate and a Performance Leadership certificate from Cornell University in 2021. She also holds an Accounting Certificate from Prince George's Community College, a Personnel Apprentice certificate from the United States Air Force, and an Administrative Specialist certificate from the United States Army.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Mrs. Snooks-Key is actively involved in organizations such as Kappa Epsilon Psi Military Sorority and the National Honor Society. She volunteers when and wherever needed for programs on behalf of the homeless and the special needs community. She also serves as a life coach for local communities, contributes to the advisory board of Shenandoah University, and is a global member of the Executive Council for Leading Change.

Mrs. Snooks-Key is also an accomplished author, having published "The Essence of My Being" in 2021. Outside of her career, she enjoys spending time with her family, writing, working out, traveling, and reading.

Looking ahead, Mrs. Snooks-Key plans to expand her business acumen and explore opportunities in nonprofit organizations and within her daughter's psychology organization. She is also interested in becoming Director in early learning development programs and developing programs to support older adults. Her commitment to helping others is unwavering, driven by her tenacity and resilience—a testament to her mother's early guidance on financial responsibility.
