Mr. alSalaam is a distinguished professional whose work in data analytics, operational efficiency, and performance improvement has significantly impacted the health care sector. His twelve-year tenure at Booz Allen Hamilton has been marked by a relentless focus on data-driven decision-making to facilitate change management and ensure operational excellence with the ultimate goal of improving patient outcomes.

Since joining Booz Allen Hamilton in 2012, Mr. alSalaam's career has been a testament to his growth and development. Starting as an junior-level Associate in Washington, D.C., he has steadily climbed the ranks, holding various leadership roles in data analytics, data management, program evaluation, technology advancement, and small-scale analytics-oriented venture investment. Currently Mr. alSalaam is leading a team of consultants to evaluate healthcare fraud, waste, and abuse.

Before his tenure at Booz Allen Hamilton, Mr. alSalaam held several healthcare associated roles: an associate director at Crimson Continuum of Care with The Advisory Board Company, a senior strategic consultant at the University of North Carolina (UNC) Health System, a project manager for UNC School of Medicine. He began his career in healthcare consulting as a finance intern at Eli Lilly while pursuing his Master of Business Administration at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. Prior to that Mr. alSalaam had a twelve-year career in information technology as a specialist, analyst, and consultant while at Harvard Business School and the Education Development Center. Taalib began that career path while starting his own computer consulting business after graduation from MIT to help bridge the digital divide for low-income residents in Boston.

Mr. alSalaam's academic journey includes a Bachelor of Science in political science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1996 and a Master of Business Administration in corporate finance and investment management from the University of North Carolina in 2010. His commitment to continuous learning is evident through his certifications, including Change Management Advanced Practitioner certification from Georgetown McDonough School of Business, Data Science and Big Data Analytics certification from MITx and Breakthrough Leadership executive education certification from Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.

Besides his education, Mr. alSalaam has been honored by several organizations for his achievements including the National Black MBA Association, the Toigo Foundation, and the CALIBR/NextGen Network. For his civic pursuits Mr. alSalaam serves as an ordained deacon for The Seventh-Day Adventist Church, serves as president of GoodFellas Cycling Club, and serves as vice president of the DMV Cycling Alliance.

In 2009, Mr. alSalaam's team secured First Place at the National Black MBA Case Competition. One decade later Booz Allen successfully nominated Mr. alSalaam for the Modern Day Technology Leader award from the Career Communications Group who sponsored the 33rd Black Engineer of the Year STEM Global Competitiveness Conference.

Mr. alSalaam attributes much of his success to humility. He recognizes the importance of acknowledging what he does not know and collaborating with others. This attitude has allowed him to build strong relationships and continuously learn from those around him. As he progresses in his career, Mr. alSalaam remains committed to maintaining this humble approach while striving for excellence in all his endeavors.
