    RIVERHEAD, NY, August 22, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Harley P. Abrams, AIA, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Abrams, a distinguished staff architect at BBS Architects, Landscape Architects & Engineers PC in Patchogue, New York, has dedicated almost 25 years to his current role. With a career spanning more than 35 years, he has established himself as an expert in public school construction and renovation. His commitment to the architectural profession is evident through his long-standing membership with the American Institute of Architects.

Mr. Abrams began his career as a staff architect at Heimberger & Seidman, Architects from 1989 to 1993. He then advanced to the position of executive vice president at Adler Goodman Ko-Lab, where he served from 1993 to 1997. Following this role, he worked as a consulting architect for William B. Tabler Architects from 1997 to 1998. In 1999, he joined Mignone Associates Architect as a project architect before transitioning to his current position at BBS Architects in 2000.

His academic background laid a strong foundation for his professional achievements. A graduate of the New York Institute of Technology, Mr. Abrams earned a Bachelor of Architecture in 1980. In addition, he is a licensed architect in New York, Connecticut and Delaware and holds certification from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.

Mr. Abrams attributes his success to the support of his employers and his commitment to continuous learning. He proactively leads efforts to organize educational programs at work and is always on the lookout for new ways to foster personal and professional development for himself and his peers. This dedication has not only garnered him respect within his workplace but also allowed him to pass on his knowledge to emerging architects through mentorship.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Abrams is actively involved in civic organizations. He has served on the board of trustees for Temple Israel of Riverhead, New York, since 2010 and was an appointed board member for the Incorporated Village of Roslyn, New York, from 1991 to 1999.

Outside of his career, Mr. Abrams enjoys traveling, reading and visiting museums. Looking ahead, he aims to continue mentoring and transferring his knowledge and passion for architecture to the younger generation of professionals.
