After serving his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1999 until 2003, Mr. Harvey embarked on a remarkable journey. He began his career as a revenue recovery supervisor for UPS, then worked as a helpdesk analyst for Televere Systems, LLC, all while pursuing an associate degree with a network specialty and minors in network security and information technology at Blackhawk Technical College. His journey continued as he expanded his professional knowledge as a Stonehouse Development maintenance manager and as a firefighter and emergency medical technician for the Milton Fire Department. Additionally, Mr. Harvey studied emergency medical technology, nursing, and firefighting at Blackhawk Technical College. This journey, from the military to various professional roles, culminated in establishing One Toad Photography in 2022, a testament to his determination and success.
Over the years, Mr. Harvey honed his engineering and network systems administration expertise with Franklin Fueling Systems, Spectrum Brands, Inc., Data Dimensions, Blackhawk Technical College, and Auxiant. In conjunction with his work in engineering, he has fostered a passion for photography through One Toad Photography, which he established in 2022. Through One Toad Photography, Mr. Harvey provides photography services for weddings, birthdays, special events, scuba diving trips, and in the coming years, wreck diving.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Mr. Harvey is deeply committed to his community. He volunteers with S.O.A.R. Kenya and Central Christian Church, and serves as a board member with Reaper Company and Pets for Vets. His outstanding achievements have been recognized with the Founder's Award for Community Service from Data Dimensions. However, Mr. Harvey takes the most pride in his volunteer work, particularly his service with his church in Haiti following a devastating earthquake. For 10 days, he and his team provided medical treatments and distributed water, purification straws, food, and basic medical supplies. This dedication to public service is a testament to his character and an inspiration to all.
Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, Mr. Harvey is not one to rest on his laurels. He credits his success to the determination and persistence instilled in him during his time in the Marine Corps. Looking toward the future, he intends to secure sponsorships for One Toad Photography from companies such as National Geographic, Discovery, and Disney. This exciting prospect opens up the potential for collaboration and new opportunities. Mr. Harvey also wants to travel to uncommon places and document his experiences in various electronic formats, a venture that promises to be both thrilling and insightful.
