PHOENIX, AZ, August 26, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Amy Lorene Stouffer, MBA, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Stouffer, an accomplished professional in clinical molecular testing, is serving as the director of clinical operations at TGen Clinical Laboratory. Since 2021, she has been instrumental in establishing and managing a clinical molecular testing laboratory from the ground up. Her notable achievements include securing College of American Pathologists accreditation and California state licensing within the first year. Ms. Stouffer's expertise extends to recruiting and hiring all molecular testing personnel, including the technical and laboratory directors, with a strong focus on quality management systems and scalable processes.

Initially hired by the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) in 2020, Ms. Stouffer demonstrated exceptional adaptability by transforming a research laboratory into a clinical COVID-19 testing facility within two weeks. Under Ms. Stouffer's leadership, the facility served over 60,000 patients with an impressive turnaround time of less than two days for 99% of their patients. This remarkable feat was achieved when many other laboratories struggled to meet demand.

Recruited from Ashion Analytics, Ms. Stouffer was a quality manager over the Fluorescence in situ Hybridization (FISH) department from 2019 to 2020. She also held tenure at Integrated Oncology Labs between 2004 and 2019, beginning as a cytogenetic technologist trainee. She then worked her way up to a senior cytogenetic technologist before becoming a project administrator and regional quality assurance manager. Here she developed and implemented quality improvement initiatives and metrics, ensuring compliance with all relevant agencies and standards.

In preparation for her career, Ms. Stouffer received a Bachelor of Science in cellular and molecular biology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2003 and a Master of Business Administration in project management from the Keller Graduate School of Management at DeVry University in 2017. Her journey into academia began with a passion for music. She pursued a double major in piano and vocal performance before transitioning to nursing and eventually finding her passion in molecular and cellular biology.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Stouffer has been actively involved in various civic organizations. She is presently associated with Arizona Fallen Hero Memorial Riders. Previously, Ms. Stouffer was a troop co-leader for the Girl Scouts of America, Arizona Cactus-Pine Council Inc., between 2017 and 2020, an event coordinator for the Sahuaro Elementary Parent Teacher Association from 2018 to 2019 and the president of Friends of Greenway Band and Orchestra between 2021 and 2023.

In light of her professional success, Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings recognized Ms. Stouffer as the Laboratorian of the Year in 2017. Her success resulted from the steadfast support of her family, including her husband, who has been her most ardent supporter throughout her career journey. With unwavering dedication and integrity, Ms. Stouffer continues to lead by example, mentoring her teams and striving for excellence in clinical molecular testing. She is also determined to see her laboratory flourish and become the foremost hub for genomic testing, mainly focusing on blood cancers such as acute myeloid leukemia and multiple myeloma.
