DALLAS, TX, August 26, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Gloria Ruth Carnes with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Gloria Ruth Carnes celebrates many years' experience in her professional network and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

After working as an educator and consultant for many years, Ms. Carnes retired from educating teachers worldwide for Scholastic Inc. in 2010. Over the years, she has honed her professional expertise in various roles, serving as a school teacher, choir director, and a choir director at her church, an education consultant for Macmillan Publishers, and a liaison for music students at Midwestern State University. For 40 years, Ms. Carnes has also gained valuable experience as a genealogist.

An expert in her field, Ms. Carnes holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Midwestern State University, from which she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1969. Subsequently, she expanded her professional knowledge by completing a Master of Music Education at her alma mater and pursuing PhD coursework. Additionally, she became a certified genealogist through the Daughters of the American Revolution, where she held several roles, including state lineage research vice chair and president of the chapter regents club.

In addition to her work, Ms. Carnes has contributed to her community by volunteering at numerous churches and nursing homes. Likewise, she has supported the prison ministry and taught Bible study classes in her area. Given her stellar educational achievements, MacMillan honored her as an outstanding consultant. While her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Carnes takes the most pride in training teachers worldwide, gaining exposure to other countries and their educational systems, and helping a piano student obtain a scholarship.

Though hard work and dedication have brought her far in her career, Ms. Carnes credits her success to helping others attain their goals. She intends to continue helping people with their genealogy, educational, and musical goals in the coming years.
