Mr. Lambrides also has a rich history in business management. From 1976 to 1988, he was the chief executive officer and manager of Advanced Management & Engineering in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Additionally, he served as an adjunct professor at the University of Phoenix between 1990 and 2002, teaching both graduate and undergraduate courses during evening classes held on the post at Fort Huachuca. Earlier in his career, Mr. Lambrides was involved in the boating business, specializing in fast boats. In 1979, he was recognized for refurbishing the first Hatteras Sportfish Yacht to factory specifications in the Gulf of Mexico.
Mr. Lambrides has a distinguished military background, having served his country as a fighter pilot in the U.S. Air Force for over 20 years. He completed coursework at the Air War College through the United States Air Force's Air University. He also garnered a Bachelor of Arts in engineering and social science from the University of Maryland in 1956 and a Master of Science in management from Troy University in 1984. Furthermore, Mr. Lambrides obtained safety and accident investigation certification through the University of Southern California, completed a stockbroker certification program, and became a licensed real estate agent and broker.
In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Lambrides is actively involved as a member of his local chamber of commerce. He also donates to various charities, including Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, and organizations like the National Audubon Society. Mr. Lambrides previously served as a director on a board of Sierra Vista Community Hospital for over a decade.
In honor of his military service, Mr. Lambrides was awarded a Silver Star, two Distinguished Flying Crosses, 15 Air Medals and a Purple Heart for his bravery. Notably, he was shot down over North Vietnam and subsequently rescued. Mr. Lambrides attributes his success to his strong work ethic, which was instilled in him early by his father, an Army chaplain during World War II.
