Mr. Langley is a distinguished professional in collegiate debate and higher education, currently serving as the Director of Strategic Enrollment Initiatives and Recruiting at Bossier Parish Community College in Bossier City, Louisiana. Since 2021, he has helped to lead a team of college stakeholders to enhance student outreach and community visibility, which resulted in a consistent 10-20% enrollment increase over seven consecutive terms. His efforts have also facilitated the expansion of the high school dual-credit program, adding over 500 students at its peak.
In addition to his primary role, Mr. Langley has been an adjunct professor and Assistant Debate Coach at Bossier Parish Community College since 2016. With his assistance, the college's debate team has achieved five first-place national awards, nearly a dozen first-place individual national titles, and more than a dozen first-place state titles. His dedication to coaching was recognized when he received the International Public Debate Association's Bennett Strange Coach of the Year Award in 2022.
Mr. Langley's career journey includes various roles that have honed his expertise in financial analysis and business management. He served as a Business Analyst for the Entrepreneurial Accelerator Program from 2020 to 2021 and as a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager at Diamond Jack's Casino and Resort from 2019 to 2020. Prior to these positions, he was the Total Services & Valet Manager at Caesars Entertainment Corporation from 2015 to 2019, and a Regional Labor Analyst at Horseshoe Casino from 2014 to 2015. His early career included a role as a Senior Financial Analyst at Boyd Gaming in Shreveport, Louisiana, from 2010 to 2014.
Mr. Langley's academic background is equally impressive. He earned a Master of Arts in Political Science and Government, Communications, and English from Louisiana State University, Shreveport in 2012. He also obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science, with a minor in Spanish, in 2009. Additionally, he completed graduate speech certification coursework at Spring Arbor University in 2016 and is working to become certified as a Project Management Professional.
Throughout his career, Mr. Langley has been actively involved in several industry-related organizations. He is a member of the Louisiana Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers and has served as the Tournament Director and Governing Board Chair for the Southern Forensics Championship Tournament since 2021. He has also been part of the Governing Board of the International Public Debate Association since 2021 and is affiliated with the National Communications Association.
He further served as the Executive Secretary for the Fight Like Emilie Foundation from 2017 to 2023, volunteered as an Assistant Debate Coach at Lee College from 2012 to 2016 and Texas A&M International University from 2011 to 2012. Additionally, he is a current board member of the Louisiana Chapter of The Cure Starts Now.
Mr. Langley's dedication to educational attainment and access is evident through his numerous accomplishments and ongoing commitment to helping others achieve their potential.
