From Ow to Wow LLC transforms medical rooms into unique spaces using black light paint to make patients', particularly children's, experiences less intimidating.
GILLETTE, WY, August 28, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lynn Todd has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Todd has dedicated over 40 years to the medical field. Her extensive career began after she was recruited from a technical school to work as a medical technologist in Kansas. After six months, she was promoted to laboratory director after her boss quit. One year later, Ms. Todd returned to Wyoming to pursue her profession. However, due to a lack of work in her industry, she became a coal analyzer for a local coal mining company.
Recruited by Campbell County Health in 1981, Ms. Todd initially worked in the urinalysis department. Her passion for innovation led her to become a micro, blood bank, and laboratory information systems supervisor by 1990. In 1998, following the retirement of her boss, she was appointed laboratory director, a position she has held for over 25 years. Throughout her tenure, Ms. Todd's forward-thinking approach has been instrumental in equipping the laboratory with advanced automation lines and implementing auto verification and chemistry procedures ahead of many others in the field.
In addition to her tenured career in this sector, Ms. Todd is a successful entrepreneur with her husband. Together, they founded From Ow to Wow LLC, which transforms medical rooms into unique spaces using black light paint to make patients', particularly children's, experiences less intimidating. Their first project in 2011 was a phlebotomy room designed to make children feel more comfortable during blood draws. Additionally, from 2006 to 2016, Ms. Todd was a partner at Excalibur Entertainment.
Ms. Todd's educational background includes a bachelor's degree from Black Hills State University. Aside from her degree, her professional affiliations include memberships in the American Association of Blood Banks and the American Society for Clinical Pathology. Outside of her professional life, Ms. Todd is actively involved in civic organizations, such as Give Grant and The United Way.
In light of her success, Ms. Todd has been recognized with several awards, including the Campbell County Memorial Hospital Patriotic Employer Award from the Office of Secretary of Defense Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, the Legend Award, and Clinical Affiliate of the Year.
As Campbell County Health transitions to Epic, Ms. Todd is mentoring one individual to ensure a seamless transition into her role. Upon retirement, she plans to focus on expanding From Ow to Wow, LLC by developing a marketing program to continue making an impact on patients.
Ms. Todd attributes her success to her adventurous nature and ability to think differently, significantly contributing to her professional achievements and innovative approaches at Campbell County Health and through her entrepreneurial ventures.
