RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA, August 29, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Jerry N. Garner with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Jerry N. Garner celebrates many years' experience in his professional network and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Garner's professional journey is a testament to his adaptability and diverse skill set. Growing up in a small town in Oklahoma, he was exposed to the world of engineering and construction through his father and brother. While he initially pursued engineering in college, he quickly realized his true passion lay in architecture. This led him to earn a Bachelor of Architecture with a minor in structural engineering from Oklahoma State University. With his unique blend of skills, Mr. Garner became the president and chief executive officer of Jerry N. Garner & Associates and president of GC/A Architects.
Mr. Garner's leadership roles have significantly contributed to his professional growth. His pursuit of knowledge led him to earn an MBA in finance and management from UCLA's Anderson School of Management. This, coupled with his experience as vice president of development for The Festival Companies and later as Sr. Vice President of Development for Vintage Capital Group have further enriched his expertise. He is a top-level decision-maker, guiding executive team decisions in profitability and direction; advancing qualified real estate opportunities; defining and closing new business opportunities; and building internal and external team consensus. Today, he is the president and founder of ArchiVelopment Real Estate, a real estate development services firm with a diverse portfolio in retail and mixed-use housing development, redevelopment, entitlements, construction management, and architecture.
Mr. Garner has worked on several notable projects throughout his career, including the redevelopment of malls and retail centers in several major U.S. cities from Hawaii to Boston, including an outdated, underperforming, early 1970's three-level, open-air mall in Honolulu turning it into a luxury resort retail and entertainment destination.
While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Garner takes the most pride in working on over a billion dollars' worth of construction. Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, he credits his success to his family's background in construction and his mentors John H. O'Toole, and F. Cutberth Salmon of engineering and architecture at Oklahoma State University. Looking ahead, Mr. Garner intends to experience his career's continued growth and success.
