He has served as the senior director and principal architect of intelligent engineering at Ness Digital Engineering in Dallas since 2021. In this role, he oversees the integration of cutting-edge technologies such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence operations, development security operations (DevSecOps), quality engineering, and Agile SAFe methodologies to drive innovation and operational excellence. Based in New Jersey, Ness is a full life-cycle digital engineering firm offering digital advisory through scaled engineering services.
Before being recruited for his current position, Mr. Susarla was an executive leader and lead chief architect of digital systems and cloud at TEKsystems Inc. in Frisco, Texas, from 2020 to 2021. His tenure at TEKsystems also included a period from 2018 to 2020 as a transformation leader across Dallas and Fort Worth. Before joining TEKsystems, Mr. Susarla contributed his expertise to Micron Technology in Boise, Idaho, as an enterprise DevOps architect, coach, and product owner between 2017 and 2018. His responsibilities included fostering enterprise-wide adoption of DevOps practices and coaching teams toward achieving higher efficiency and productivity. From 2016 to 2017, Mr. Susarla served as an enterprise transformation consultant specializing in Cloud-DevOps-QE at HCL Technologies in Frisco. His extensive experience also encompasses over a decade at Wipro in Irving, Texas, where he was the director and practice partner for digital Cloud-DevOps-QE transformation from 2005 to 2016. Mr. Susarla began his career as an ALM manager with Allianz Group in the Thiruvananthapuram area of India in 2002 before making his way to Europe and then the U.S.A. From 1992 to 2002 he worked in various information technology companies in India and Europe as Lead Automation Engineer, Lead Software Engineer, Software Engineer and Software Developer.
Throughout his career, Mr. Susarla has been recognized for his significant contributions and achievements. Most notably, he has served as an Advisor on the University of Tennessee, Knoxville's Customer Experience AI Program to industry students. He was acknowledged during his tenure at Wipro for his role in developing an online banking platform for a leading bank over a three-year program. He has contributed his expertise by coordinating professional conferences, delivering lectures on AIOps in collaborative workshops, and authoring industry-related articles. Moreover, Mr. Susarla's professional journey has taken him to over 35 countries and nearly every state in the U.S., reflecting his global perspective and commitment to delivering solutions that cater to diverse client needs.
Outside of work, Mr. Susarla enjoys giving back his time by teaching various subjects, such as Mathematics and English, to underprivileged children in India during his visits to the country. Additionally, he sponsors the education of several students, with seven having already graduated and an additional 10 expected to complete their degrees soon.
Mr. Susarla's educational background includes a Bachelor of Technology from Anna University, which he obtained in 1992. He also completed his Post Graduate Certification Program in AI-ML from the prestigious NIT, Warangal, India. In addition to his degree, over the years he has acquired skills and various certifications in cloud and Kubernetes including AWS Professional Solution Certificate AWS Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, and Certified Kubernetes Administrator. He also received certification as a SAFe® Practice Consultant and Certified Portfolio Manager through Scaled Agile Inc. in 2021. Mr. Susarla is active as a professional member of Scrum.org, a silver partner at Scaled Agile Inc., and a contributor mentor for the DevOps Agile Skills Association.
Considering his success, Mr. Susarla was twice named the Best Technical Consultant in the field of Generative AI and AI in IT. Recently he was awarded "Best Out-of-box Thinker" for his outstanding achievements in the field of intelligent engineering for the year 2023-24 in the Ness Conclave.
