Following these roles, he worked independently as a project architect from 2004 to 2005 before contributing to Jonathan Miller Architecture & Design in the same capacity from 2005 to 2007. He then joined his current company as vice president, a position he held until his promotion to president and chief executive officer in 2020.
Mr. Overmyer's most notable career achievement is obtaining his license in architecture. He became a registered architect with The American Institute of Architects in 2019 and with the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance in 2018. Further enhancing his expertise, he is a respected member of the Builders Exchange of Tennessee, the American Institute of Architects and the Associated General Contractors of America.
Mr. Overmyer's educational background laid a strong foundation for his professional success. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2008 and also holds an Associate of Applied Science in computer-aided drafting technology from ITT Technical Institute, earned in 1999.
