Throughout his career, Mr. Christakos has been actively involved in various industry-related organizations. He served as president of the California Association of School Business Officials from 2014 to 2015 and is also a member of ASBO International, AASA The School Superintendents Association, Optimist International and the Exchange Club. His dedication to his profession has earned him numerous accolades, including the highest award for individuals who have contributed to the field of education from ASBO International in 2015.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Christakos is deeply involved in civic activities. He has volunteered for the Special Olympics and played a pivotal role in fundraising for a park that led to the construction of a child development center in collaboration with the Exchange Club and Hemet Unified School District.
Outside of his career, Mr. Christakos enjoys traveling, cooking, hiking and mountain biking.
