Ms. Carpio is a distinguished professional in long-term care in the senior living industry, currently serving as the Executive Director at Silverado Senior Living in Alhambra, CA since 2022. With a career spanning nearly 15 years, she has demonstrated exceptional expertise in senior living, operations, sales and marketing. Her daily routine is to oversee the operations of the community, supporting her leadership team and all other associates in serving and caring for their residents. In between her Zoom calls, financial meetings and planning, she works closely with residents and their families to provide education and support. Ms. Carpio's passion lies in ensuring seniors are safe, thriving and enjoying their lives.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Carpio served as a Post-Acute Liaison at HumanGood from 2020 to 2022 and as the Director of Marketing and Admissions at Santa Teresita (Carmelite Sisters) between 2018 and 2020. She also served as Regional Director of Marketing for Genesis Healthcare in the Greater Los Angeles Area in 2017 and the Director of Admissions at Genesis from 2015 to 2017.
Ms. Carpio's initial role in the United States was as the Director of Admissions and Marketing at Vista Cove Care Center at San Gabriel from 2010 to 2015. Before moving to the United States, she worked as a marketing specialist for Miss Earth in the Philippines from 2000 to 2005 and was involved in beauty pageants, representing the Philippines in international competitions, being a former Miss Philippines herself.
Prior to embarking upon her professional journey, Ms. Carpio pursued higher education, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies with a focus on marketing from the University of Santo Tomas. She has since obtained several certifications, including the completion of the Wharton Executive Education Management Development Program in 2023, a Dementia Care Specialist certification from Silverado Senior Living and verified international academic qualifications from World Education Services in 2022, among others. Furthermore, Ms. Carpio completed the Administrator Leadership Training Program at Silverado Senior Living and even received an MBA recommendation from a retired U.S. career diplomat. She is also a licensed RCFE Administrator.
Long dedicated to civic advocacy, Ms. Carpio has generously volunteered her time as a speaker at senior centers and presenter of educational talks on senior living, sharing her knowledge and passion for geriatric care. To remain aware of developments affecting her field, she has also maintained her professional affiliation with industry-related organizations, including the California Assisted Living Association.
In addition to her professional achievements, Ms. Carpio has received numerous accolades, such as the Rising Star Award at the Silverado Senior Living 2024 Leadership Conference, the Model Mom Award in the Philippines and the Philippine Pageantry Excellence Award. She is also a Miss Philippines Pageant Title Holder and has been featured in Asian magazine covers, did some TV commercials and modeled in print ads and other endorsements.
Outside of her career, Ms. Carpio enjoys traveling with her family. Looking ahead, she aspires to advance in her career, aiming for a regional role in operations within five years and ultimately seeking a C-suite position. Additionally, she plans to pursue a Master of Business Administration degree to enhance her leadership skills and business acumen, reflecting her ongoing devotion to the field.
